• Congrats Josh Friedman! The man knows how to tell a story.

  The main role should be played by a beautiful woman in her early 30′s, used to manipulate guns, already seen in action dramas. I wonder if Friedman has already worked with such a woman?

  Summer Glau can portray a character in such a deep and believable way and she has the physical abilities required by the role. Summer Glau all the way!

• Why is it news that Fox ordered a pilot they were already committed to make or pay a hefty penalty?

  I swear this business is the most bullshit, biased, asshole generator I’ve ever seen.

  BTW MY pilot got picked up the normal way: It was good.

• Good news for Josh! Congratulations.

  I really believe that Summer Glau would be a great addition to this show. She is a known quantity to Friedman and she has great acting skill (The Unit, Terminator, Serenity, and Firefly, not to mention that she was the best part of The Cape).

• Great… another pilot for this blowhard! Can’t wait to see it tank or get shitcanned in the crib. Look at all the ass-kissers here too! Josh is an amazing, talented, muscular writer… Yeah, cause Sarah Connor was soooo amazing! Bringing in Brian Austin Douche-sickle to play Reese’s brother was a stroke of great writing. Season 1 and they’re already pulling out Reese’s brother from the future. Christ, get real.

  • I’ll tell you the reality Frank, not my opinion or your opinion because we’re not in the business, but the opinion of FOX executives about Josh Friedman.
    Friedman has signed a rich three-year overall deal with the studio to develop new projects (see http://www.deadline.com/2011/06/writer-josh-friedman-signs-3-year-overall-deal-with-20th-century-fox-television/) which means the studio firmly believes in the talent of the guy; yet that doesn’t mean they will air everything Friedman writes (see “Locke and Key” pilot).
    From the pitch to a pilot there is a lot of steps and very few are ordered to serie by the networks; Friedman has not a bad record and FOX continue to order him pilots, that says it all about the writing quality of the guy, as seen by FOX executives themselves.

    Also, i’m very well aware that Summer Glau will probably not be able to play the lead role, even if she’d like to, because she has another commitment; indeed, she played in TNT’s drama pilot “Scent of the Missing” and this commitment will prevail.
