As the field of Republican presidential candidates shrinks, so do the ratings for the GOP debates. After peaking at 7.6 million with the December 10 ABC News debate, audiences mostly have been on the decline. Last night’s special on CNN averaged 5.02 million total viewers, 1.7 million in adults 25-54. That was down from the Fox News debate just three days earlier.

I find it kind of funny that the October 11th Bloomberg debate isn’t even on this list. I wouldn’t be surprised if it barely reached 1 million viewers.
After watching John King make a total ass out of himself watch CNN’s audience decline.
ONE OF THE MANY problems: All the republicans wives have shady backgrounds. From a wife who was a mistress to a wife who had previously been with a man who is anti-republican and several decades older than her. When Mrs. Obama is as clean as a flute!
They say, most of the time you’re significant other shows how weak or pathetic you are.
Don’t get me wrong, that’s all small potatoes and nobody expects the politicians to be clean themselves. On the other hand, you can’t expect any of them to win against Obama and the American public senses it so they are not even going to waist their time watching the debates.
It’s actually pathetic, the republican party should have focused more on stronger opponents. I’m sure, there are stronger conservative politicians out there. It’s now all over.
Are people getting tired of watching morally bankrupt Republican hypocrites who cheat on their wives/taxes bloviate about wholesome American family values?
Not really surprising. I mean, how many debates do you truly need? These candidates are not going to change their views and the people who’ll vote for them have already made up their minds for most part.
I think what was fun and giggles at first, turned into stark terror at the realization that we are going to have a crazy person run for President.
Maybe the allure of silly old white men throwing temper tantrums has worn off?
I think the decline in the debates is because all the networks only favor 3 candidates-Gingrich,Santorum and of course, the Mitt Romney show. This is what is wrong with America and people are tired of the same status quo-if your not good looking or have a ton of money, then your candidate isn’t going to get on TV. On all networks, Ron Paul isn’t just overlooked, it’s like he doesn’t even exist, which clearly tells the American people that he isn’t important enough in this race. Actually Ron Paul has more ideas, plans, and consistency than all the candidates combined. I was so angry this week, after watching both debates, that Ron Paul didn’t get any questions (hardly) that it made me furious at those stations, of which Fox News is the worse. In a year that we need the most change, once again, I am tired of the way that the media runs this country. I hope there is a revolt to this damaging, biased coverage and that for once and for all, there is liberty and freedom in the press and let it start with a balance in the news coverage, with Dr. Ron Paul.
How can you say there’s not a liberal bias in media? A story like this about Democrat debates would never have been published.
