With The Martha Stewart Show coming to an end after Hallmark Channel opted not to renew it, the channel is in negotiations for a new daily daytime talk show, this time hosted by Marie Osmond. A rep for Hallmark confirmed that the channel is in discussions with Osmond, declining further comment. The deal is expected to be closed shortly. The Marie Osmond show is targeted for a fall launch. It is unclear whether if it will be a direct replacement for The Martha Stewart Show, which airs as part of a Martha Stewart Living Omnimedia daytime programming block on Hallmark.

I hope it works out, I like Marie and think it will be a good fit for Hallmark.
Bad timing. It is destine to be a failure because it will debut with 10 other daytime talkers that will be on broadcast.
she had a show years ago and she was horrible.
whats next a new talk show for Chevy?
Hallmark never announced it “opted not to renew it.” Hallmark and Michelle Vicary, EVP programming, obviously have engaged in leaks to manipulate media publicity for Hallmark.
Hallmark and Vicary are in a state of denial that Hallmark is a backwater channel of reruns with a viewing audience of the living dead that can’t sustain any change. The Marie Osmond show will be cancelled by Hallmark in a matter of months in their wild goose ratings chase. The Martha Stewart quality programming is Hallmark’s last best hope to transform to a channel with future viability.
Hallmark is the Titanic, and MSLO should cut clean from Hallmark and not be an effigy for Hallmark’s failure. Cable tv needs a Martha Stewart channel with quality programming that promotes the American way of life, which Martha Stewart embodies.
Martha, is that you? Face it – you’ve been cancelled. And by the Hallmark Channel, which doesn’t exactly have high standards to begin with. That’s not a Good Thing.
Face it – Hallmark is flailing with incompetence in programming with Vicary and Fisher, resulting in Hallmark, the Titanic. Martha Stewart Living should honor its quality brand and completely disassociate with Hallmark, the backwater channel.
Already bored…Could someone please fire Barbara Fisher??? She doesn’t have a clue what she’s doing!and only deals with “producers” who can scratch her back.
You must be talking about a different Barbara Fisher than the one I deal with at Hallmark. She is one of the most amazing, honest and fair executives I’ve ever dealt with and has remained that in the 10-plus years I’ve dealt with her. She cannot be blamed for a Levinson deal that preceded her at the network and does the best she can with the handcuffs she is forced to wear.
Barbara Fisher, is that you? Face it – you and Vicary won’t have jobs for too long with the Hallmark channel demise. Martha Stewart is Hallmark’s last best hope for survival and your jobs. Certainly, loyal viewers of the excellent Martha Stewart Show and her loyal fans will not be contributing in any way to Hallmark, the Titanic, and your paychecks. P.S. Marie Osmond will be no lifeline with Hallmark’s wild goose ratings chase.
Are you crazy?? is this larry levinson writing this?? Everyone loves working with Barbara!!!!
Barbara is the smartest exec they have. It’s a nice place to work!
Barbara, is this you? Why no more intriguing leaks from Hallmark and Vicary on “talks with Marie Osmond for daytime show.” Martha Stewart will be moving to the cutting edge of technology with her vibrant, outstanding, Emmy-winning show that makes a difference to “America the Beautiful.”
With the “handcuffs” that Barbara is “forced to wear,” Hallmark has become the Titanic. “Everyone loves working with Barbara!!!!” and she is “the smartest exec they have. It’s a nice place to work!” until jobs vanish with the Titanic.
Marie will be a welcome addition to Hallmark – a great fit! She’s beautiful, engaging and genuine….I’ll be watching.
This show of hers will fail as soon as it airs. People are so tired of her already. I know I am. Stay in Vegas, Marie..all the Has-beens do very well there. It’s their last STOP before the lights go out on the stage.
