
IFC acquired North American rights to Liberal Arts, written and directed by Josh Radnor. The film also stars Elizabeth Olsen and Richard Jenkins. Radnor stars as a divorcee who returns to his alma mater and falls for a sophomore (Olsen). IFC will release later this year.


Such a funny film. Alison Janney is genius. Congrats to Arianna and team for picking it up!

I actually really enjoyed this film. Sure, it’s a little sentimental at times, but it wonderfully scratches and claws at pretty prominent themes — aging being one — and has some real hilarious moments, especially the Allison Janney moments.
Surprised this wasn’t picked up by a larger company. This movie could actually reach wide audience.
