(Beverly Hills, Calif.) January 25, 2012 – Relativity Media has signed Liam Hemsworth (The Hunger Games) to star as the lead character Rory in its upcoming romantic drama Timeless, written by Bill Kelly (Enchanted). Relativity has also closed a deal with Phillip Noyce, known for international action-thrillers Salt, Patriot Games and Clear and Present Danger, to direct the emotional film.
A thrilling adventure that challenges the known boundaries of science and the human heart, Timeless tells the breathtaking story of a young man who devotes himself to achieving the unimaginable. After the sudden death of his wife, he enlists the world’s best minds to try to build a scientific marvel to turn back time and reunite him with his lost love.
The film is being produced by Sunil Perkash (Salt), Relativity’s CEO Ryan Kavanaugh (The Fighter), and is executive produced by Relativity’s Co-President, Tucker Tooley (The Fighter). .
Hemsworth and writer Kelly are both clients of WME and were represented by them in their respective deals. Noyce is a client of UTA and was represented by them in the deal.
