Marcia Gay Harden has been tapped to star in NBC’s comedy pilot Isabel. Inspired by the French-Canadian series Le Monde De Charlotte, Isabel centers on an otherwise normal, angry middle-class family that wrestles with the challenges of everyday life while raising daughter Isabel (Sophia Mitri Schloss) who has magical qualities. Oscar and Tony winner Harden will play the mom, Francis. This is the second consecutive season, in which Harden stars in a comedy pilot. Last year, she did ABC’s half-hour Smothered. She is with UTA and manager Maryellen Mulcahey.
