• She’s successful, independent, sexually frank and aggressive. So she’s struck with cancer to be forced into a conventional female role. Ugh.

• I want to like Kate Hudson’s romantic comedy movies. I really do. Despite the fact that she (as well as the writers, producers, etc.) ruined one of my favorite books (Something Borrowed)….there is something about her acting, personality, etc. that falls flat in these type of movies. Same thing with How to Lose a Guy in 10 days. Its so weird…its like she comes across as unbelieveable as a heroine.

• Watching this now on DVD (I live in uk). This is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen. No cliche has gone unmolested. Black/Gay life affirming friend, kooky gal pals-all here. Awful.
