NCIS executive producer Gary Glasberg said after today’s TCA panel that actor Muse Watson would be among those returning to the long-running series for its 200th episode airing February 7. Watson portrays retired special agent Mike Frank, Gibbs’ (Mark Harmon) mentor. Glasberg was coy about whether other guest stars would return but confirmed that Lauren Holly will not. He said, “Just watch the show, there will be surprises.” During the panel, Glasberg elaborated on that 200th episode, “Life Before His Eyes,” which concerns a “pivotal moment that Gibbs faces” and will look back at key moments throughout the 9 years the show has been on the air. He also said the episode would bring back “familiar faces, old faces.” Glasberg and cast members including Harmon also did not say how long the show could run. Asked whether the show could run as long as Gunsmoke, Harmon joked: “I like the idea of riding a horse, if we’re gonna do that. Tomorrow we go to work.” On the 200th episode, he said: “We had a cake, and there were speeches, and we went back to work.”

Love Gary. One of the try mensch’s in town… hard fucking worker. Seems far too nice and happy for this business. Kudos to him and very one at NCIS!!
Agree with Big Fan re: Gary. Great guy with a terrific attitude. So happy for Harmons success as well. A real star with a great appreciation of his crew. Wish them all nothing but the best.
We want Mike Franks back full time. Biggest mistake
ever to kill him off.
HELL YES!!! we want Mike Franks back, just we want Lauren Holley, or Jenny back! What’s the use of an “what if” episode without Jenny, she was such a huge part of Gibbs’s life!
this is a milestone that “theoffice’ will never celebrate…thank God!!!
I’m looking forward to this episode. Shame they couldn’t (or wouldn’t) bring Lauren Holly back but it would be nice to see Sasha Alexander back for real rather than a flashback.
don’t rea;;y care for a S=kate reunion, she is much better in her new show Rizzoli & Isles, good work Sasha!
Hooray for the show that proves Americans are idiots.
I can’t believe people watched one episode of this crap, let alone 200. Congratulations?
…and I still don’t know a single person who watches this show.
You need a better class of friends then. Since I admitted watching the show to my friends, they have all started comparing notes and we started having season premiere and finale parties…..always a good reason to hold parties. Get some new friends dude. This is a great show.
This is my favorite show. Did Lauren Holley leave on bad terms? I dislike the guy who took her place. Since Mike Franks and Kate were both killed, it would be hard for them to be back for ‘real.” Sort of have to be a flashback.
Lauren was originally signed for a 5 appearance stint. They liked the chemistry (DOn’t see how) and they kept her on a reoccuring basis. She had just had a baby when she was signed and wasn’t planning on working but, then she was bitten by the acting bug again and decided to find more full time work. They didn’t part on bad terms and she refers to the show fondly. I think she was filming another show at the time of the 200th filming. (She is now on flashpoint)
if there was no bad blood on either part, then why is it so difficult to get her back for one show? The spy inside my says all isn’t right on the home front and this is another Hollywood lie IN BOLD FACE CAPS!
PLEASE get Robert Vaughn to guest star. A chance to see him with David McCallum again – priceless
Mark Harmon also starred with Robert Vaughn in a movie or two. Mark has a wonderful habit of getting past co-stars on the show with him. As an example the show this week had Michael Beach from his movie “Casualties”. It is always fun to watch who shows up as guest stars.
Thanks Zach, Wow, and Jan. Perhaps you guys could give us a list of approved TV shows to watch. I’m sure the shows you tune into, by virtue of your superior tastes, will do just fine.
So is Lauren Holly not even appearing in a flashback scene because I’d heard they asked permission to show a clip. If she isn’t, I have no interest in watching this episode. Her seasons are the only ones I’ll watch. Harmon’s Gibbs is insufferable — she made him bearable. The show hasn’t been the same since she and Bellisario left. It used to be a fun show.
BOORAH! I am in total agreement with you! I wanted Jen & Jethro eventually get back together (how I suffered thru the episodesss with the Army chick, not only did they tear down another strong woman character, but her relationship turned her into a sniveling whiner) She just wasn’t right for Gobbs, Jenny was, and who in the world thought Vance could manage being in charge of NCIS, he haas his own agenda & too many secrets, particularlly with Eli David. SO I agree with you 100%
This week’s episode was all about Tony and Ziva having feelings for each other and to finally admit to themselves. Oh and the killer was actually Ziva’s boyfriend, who wasn’t punished at all. This is what it’s have boiled down to.
This is the best show on TV. Have been with it since day 1. JAG used to be the best until they came up with NCIS. Have to agree with all of you, wish that Jenny (Lauren Holly) would have stayed. Can’t stand Vance. Ziva has much more depth than Kate. Would love to see Ziva and Tony together, also Tim and Abby. But Oh Well!. As long as the story line stays good, hope they stay on several more years. If not, the whole team has given us a lot of entertainment.
