Universal City, CA, January 11, 2012 – Actor/Comedian Patton Oswalt (“Young Adult”) is set to host the 62nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards ceremony on February 18 at the Beverly Hilton Hotel. The ACE Eddie Awards is presented by American Cinema Editors (ACE), and recognizes the best editing of the year in film,
television and documentaries. This is an encore appearance by Oswalt who hosted the black-tie awards ceremony the first time in 2008.
“We are so excited to have Patton back as the host for this year’s ACE Eddie Awards,” stated ACE President Randy Roberts. “He is having an incredibly busy year with his critically-acclaimed performance in ‘Young Adult’ so we felt lucky that he agreed to come back. The ACE office was literally flooded with emails and calls from our membership after his first hosting stint in 2008 so we’re glad he could come back and do the honors again.”
Nominees for the 62nd Annual ACE Eddie Awards will be announced on January 16, 2012.

He’s much deserved for an Oscar Nomination for “Young Adult”
The A.C.E. Eddie Awards are one of the best shows in town.
Editors understand the art of pacing, and so the Eddies move along at a comfortable and entertaining rhythm. Patton is a wonderful host.
Finally, and this makes the Eddies really special…all the focus is on the editors in the audience. The talent on stage just enhances the appreciation for what editing adds to the filmmaking process.
The Eddies have been my personal favorite awards show for the past decade.
