This will make much money. Much money,
I can’t believe I have to wait this long to see the next comedy. Where are the big comedies?!!!! Where is the trailer for the next ’40 year old virgin’ or ‘Horrible Bosses’? Where? Where is it?!
I hope there will never be another “Horrible Bosses”…
Anyone know the story on how this director was picked up to do the film?
He directed a couple commercials – see Nike House Party. Looks very docu hopefully there are some good characters and funny bits because from the trailer there doesn’t appear to be
Ladies and Gentlemen, this is how you cut a trailer.
you , mean you show the entire film in 2 minutes. BOO!
It’s confusing to me. The whole thing’s cut as if we’re waiting for “And then the monster attacks”. Except the monster never attacks. There’s no story – there’s an implication that they’re going to show us what the story is at the end, but then it just ends. Leading me to conclude that there is no story. A fat kid, a shy kid, and a jerk kid throw a party … so what? What happens? What’s the story?
I’d rather them spare me the story. It’s Old School’s party scene for an hour+.
Just make me laugh. I love women and their body parts but spare me the breasts and a$$ too. Just make me laugh.
Oye.
That trailer is the ultimate try-hard. Way too long and completely unfunny.
This movie would have been big a decade ago. Now it’s a rental at best.
Hey it’s Superbad again…
And that sucked, so, hmmm.
Yeah, Superbad sucked so bad that it sold a ridiculous amount of tickets/dvds, the actors in it all got cast in an absurd number of movies (even the kid that played McLovin got roles because of Superbad), and it got copied by a ton of movies advertising themselves as blatant imitations.
cool trailer. but this looks like a really dumb movie.
I’m not in the demo, and this looks better than 99% of what this dying industry puts out.
P.S. THE DESCENDANTS is in my wheelhouse, and that was incredibly overrated.
I see this and I think some pretty good marksmen are shooting fish in a barrel.
On a different point: How many “Casas de Plata” does Joel Silver need at this point anyway? (No kidding, that’s what he calls them.) None of these fat dancing Latinas get invite to the parties thrown there, of course–but their hard-earned $$ spent on tickets to see this movie will pay for them. This is a different kind of west-coast Wall Street you’re looking at, kiddies.
And thus endeth western culture as we know it.
This is why they hate us.
A. Get some video cameras.
B. Get some actors no one knows or cares about.
C. Get a crapload of extras.
D. Write a few funny bits and a lot more stupid/bad ones.
E. Tape the party.
F. Edit and release.
G. Make money from morons who will go see it.
Ain’t Hollywood grand?
I think it looks like great fun. But if this movie can get the generation of boys it’s aimed at to go see it in a theater rather than just pirating it (which is their god given right, you know, just ask them on reddit, 4chan, SA, Fark et al) this old codger will be amazed.
Damn, I’m old.
I’m 26 and this makes me feel old too. My friends can’t wait to see it. I think I was born in the wrong decade.
I’m a grown woman and who was around for the moma of all teen-party flicks – Risky Business. You can make that movie a thousand times but it will never be as good as the original… that said, this trailer gave me some laughs. It’s super stupid, no doubt, but that dog flying up off the bed cracked me up.
I’ll probably watch it on HBO.
I’m not going to lie, I found the trailer pretty dam funny.
This looks like RISKY BUSINESS meets CLOVERFIELD.
This has serious potential, but why does low budget automatically equal found footage? I’m so sick of “the actors are shooting the movie!”
