EXCLUSIVE: The Game Show Network laid off about 5% of its workforce today (about 12 people) as part of a restructuring at the cable network jointly owned by DirecTV and Sony Pictures Television. GSN is under a new programming chief, Amy Introcaso-Davis, who joined the channel in October, reporting to the network’s president and CEO David Goldhill. “GSN did undertake some reorganization today. We do not comment on specifics regarding the number or identity of positions impacted,” a GSN spokesperson said.

Well maybe if Cablevision didn’t stick GSN in the “sports package” and tell me to pay more money for it, I’d still be watching and supporting it. Then they wouldn’t have to had lay anyone off.
Thanks Mr. Dolan. You’ve done it again!
Before GSN does anything else, it needs to start by laying off David Goldhill. He has ransacked the place and pointed the blame at anyone he can, but the network is going nowhere under his authority. And take Brunell and his 70′s hairdo with him
Amy is not following what GSN is all about.
Dancing With The Stars is not a game show.
Take it out of your programming or you will be
laying off more than 5% as many people will not
be watching your station for the wasted time this
dumb show is on Game Show Network
Game Shows should be with the average ‘Joe’ not so
called STARS
There have been all kinds of successful game shows with STARS. Match Game, Hollywood Squares, Pyramid. Don’t blame Amy. She just got there. But Goldhill and Brunell are responsible for puppet shows, unfunny comedy shows, horrible hidden camera shows, and expensive flops over and over again. GSN will never succeed with those guys running the show. Hopefully Amy will be given a chance to succeed, but that won’t happen with those two control freaks getting in the way.
Goldhill doesn’t know what the hell he’s doing. GSN was built on CLASSIC game shows. I hated the direction Michael Fleming took GSN in the late 90s, but I’ll take that over their current direction! If they must air shows like 1 VS. 100 and Deal or No Deal, fine. But put some more classics on the schedule to go with it. Tic Tac Dough, Joker’s Wild, Wheel of Fortune, Now You See It, Beat the Clock, Press Your Luck, heck, how about some classics GSN never bothered with in the past, like Sale of the Century and Scrabble? I understand the newer shows being on the schedule, but get rid of Dancing with the Stars and give us the above mentioned classics, too.
