Starz’s Spartacus: Vengeance premiered Friday night to 1.4 million viewers at 10 PM. That was up 10% from last January’s premiere of prequel Spartacus: Gods Of The Arena, which in turn was up 66% from the January 2010 debut of Spartacus: Blood And Sand. Including weekend, on-demand and online viewing, the Spartacus: Vengeance premiere has been seen by more than 4 million viewers. Spartacus – starring Liam McIntyre, who replaced the late Andy Whitfield in the title role — has already been renewed for a third season.
Meanwhile, last night’s Season 4 finale of Kourtney & Kim Take New York, in which Kim Kardashian ponders divorce, scored the series’ highest-rated and most-watched telecast ever, averaging nearly 4.5 million total viewers. It was E!’s third-most-watched telecast in history total viewers and key demos, among adults 18-49 (3.3 million), women 18-34 (1.6 million) and women 18-49 (2.5 million). Immediately following, the Season 2 finale of After Lately at 11 PM scored its own series’ highest-rated and most-watched telecast ever, averaging over 1.7 million total viewers. Also on Sunday, E!’s Live From The Red Carpet: The 2012 SAG Awards hosted by Giuliana Rancic, Ross Matthews and Kelly Osborne from 6-8 PM EST delivered nearly 1.5 million total viewers, the highest ever for E!’s SAG Awards coverage and up 22% vs. last year.

I can’t imagine 2 completely different type programs as these!
Cable has something for everyone……
Give me a show where Lucy Lawless fights the Kardashians in an arena. Imagine the ratings for that (my money is on Xena).
I’d watch that (As long as the KarTrashians die horribly)
now that sounds like a dream killing-lol
Like I said before and will say again…rename the E! Network to the K! Network as that is all that is truly on there…the media mongers that they are.
Isn’t everyone sick of hearing about Kim’s stupid fake marriage, that she did for more media attention and Money??? It’s really enough, it’s sad that too many people turn in to watch a pathetic annoying show featuring her and her family.
Those people will do anything for money and media attention.
Glad to see Spartacus is growing. I ended up catching the first 2seasons on Blu-Ray and loved it. My guess would be as word of moith grows the next season will be even bigger.
Spartacus got off to such a great start! While it is a tragedy that Whitfield is no longer with us, Liam McIntyre has started off on a strong note. And for all the cynicism that Hollywood breeds, you’ve really got to give credit to Starz and the whole creative team for being willing to try an entire “prequel” season 2 so that Whitfield could try to rehab. Such a class move; how many others would have done the same?
For a show that’s shot on such a low budget, it would be great to see some Emmy noms at some point in the future.
I love the Spartacus, but it seems to have lost a lot of the Gravitas that John Hannah brought to it!
I watch Sparty for Lucy lawless.
Spartacus is nothing but gratuitous sex and gratuitous violence. I fucking love it.
The Kardashians are to television what Milli Vanilli was to music.
That anyone watches them believing that they’re seeing “reality” shows how frighteningly detached some people are.
The Valentino fashion house had even released a press statement in advance of the Oscars disclosing that it would be dressing the Les Miserables actress in addition to Sally Field and Jennifer Aniston.
