YouTube and Scott Free Productions are teaming to give aspiring filmmakers a chance to screen their work at the Venice Film Festival in August. One winner will receive a development deal with Scott Free via the new initiative with Emirates and the fest dubbed “Your Film Festival.” Content creators can submit a “15-minute, story-driven video of any format, tile and genre to youtube.com/yourfilmfestival. Audiences will select 10 finalists from a pre-selected group of 50 that will travel to Italy for the festival. A grand prize winner will be named by a special jury and awarded a $500,000 YouTube original production grant to work with Ridley and Tony Scott’s Scott Free.

Kudos to any program which helps new filmmakers.
Working with Scott Free (Tony and Ridley) should be a master class for the winner.
Congrats to all involved.
I was entering the contest but when the automated system stated
“Your Film Festival is requesting permission to: Manage your Youtube account | Perform these operations when I’m not using the application”
I stopped.
I just sent emails and tweets about this problem and asked for an explanation.
There is absolutely no way I am allowing anyone other than myself to do anything to my Google account or my ‘OliverTwistedMovie channel’ on YouTube. The two qualifying videos I wanted to enter in to the contest are there with the rest of the ‘Oliver Twisted’ DVD. All the share links/URLs and embed codes are available.
