EXCLUSIVE: On the heels of casting Gossip Girl, Melrose Place and Supernatural alumna Katie Cassidy as the female lead in the CW’s pilot Arrow, another familiar CW face is joining the project. Willa Holland (Gossip Girl) has been cast in the modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow which stars Stephen Amell as the vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology under his secret identity as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy and billionaire industrialist-turned-outspoken politician in Star City. Holland will play Thea Queen, Oliver’s celebutante younger sister who’s testing the boundaries of acceptable behavior. The actress, repped by Gersh and Meyer Management, also co-starred on Fox’s The O.C.
Adam Campbell (Harper’s Island) and Amanda Lund have been added to the cast of CBS’s single-camera comedy pilot from feature writer-director Nick Stoller. Stoller wrote and will direct the untitled project, a twentysomething ensemble comedy that centers on Jake (Michael Angarano), a commitment phobic ad agency exec who, after breaking up with his girlfriend, realizes he has to continue working with her one cubicle away. Campbell, repped by ICM, Mary Putnam Greene and attorney Jeff Bernstein, and Lund will play co-workers. Chernin Entertainment and 20th Century Fox TV are producing. The project reunites Campbell and Stoller — the actor co-stars in the upcoming Five-Year Engagement, which Stoller co-wrote and directed. Judd Apatow produces.

Arrow will definately get picked up now. The cast is really interesting so far.
The Arrow was destined to get picked up no matter how shitty the casting and script was… and it’s very tepid so far, lets be real. But Smallville was one of the greatest money makers of all time for its backers, and the desire to recreate that will drive these backers to try anything remotely like it again and again. If and when Arrow fails, they’ll try another one after that and another one after that. There is too much money on the table not to chase that Smallville void.
