EXCLUSIVE: How To Make It In America star Bryan Greenberg is returning to broadcast TV as the lead opposite JoAnna Garcia in CBS’ untitled comedy pilot from Greg Berlanti and Greg Malins. The Warner Bros./Berlanti Prods. project, also known as Oh F**k It’s You, centers on Nick (Greenberg), a notorious womanizer who, after surviving a health scare, realizes that “The One” he has never found is actually his best friend of 15 years, Wendy (Garcia). The problem is that Wendy is engaged to a guy Nick likes; she and Nick own a business together; and their attempt at dating back in college was a disaste
r. Also cast in the pilot is Groundlings performer Ryan Gaul, repped by Gersh and the Safran Co., as Wendy’s kind and unassuming fiance. The two join recently cast Greg Grunberg. Greenberg, repped by Gersh and Ellen Meyer Management, had two comedy pilots vying for him, ultimately choosing the CBS one. Before toplining the HBO comedy How To Make It In America, he starred on ABC drama October Road and also had a role on One Tree Hill.

isn’t Bryan Greenberg just the funniest actor? he’s such a sharp comedic talent. Which is why he’s the lead of a CBS sitcom right? Oh. It’s because he’s handsome? Didn’t know that was a requirement for sitcoms. Yay! More handsome, completely unfunny guys on comedies!!!!
……And introducing Ryan as well!
Cable Funny men: Danny McBride, Louis C.K., Larry David, William H. Macy, etc…
Broadcast Funny men (& women): Bryan Greenberg, Ashton Kutcher, Whitney Cummings, Laura Prepon, Rob Schneider, etc…
I think there is an obvious disparity in quality here. Broadcast networks wouldn’t know a decent comedic lead if it fell in their laps. This is the latest in the mandate that sexy is the new funny. Or that funny is not as important as sexy. Boring. With Greenberg, Grunberg and Garcia, this really funny script has no shot. Even if it is picked up, it will fail miserably. Sorry Mr. Malins.
So excited Bryan Greenberg has a new vehicle. Can’t wait until it airs.
So wait, let me get this straight. People actually enjoy watching Brian Greenburg?
Go be a hater somewhere else.. Also, maybe you should learn how to spell his name before you comment. #iamaloser
YEP
I like all of those involved with this project, but isn’t this premise almost exactly like that of Funny People?
I don’t even understand how this gets greenlighted as a pilot. But then again, Rob is actually on the air, so who really knows?
Bryan Greenberg is back! Yay
Jake Jegielski! I love Bryan Greenberg!!
Greenberg? Seriously? George Wendt wasn’t available?
YES PLEASE! Greenberg is so hot. He’s going to bring an even wider audience to a show already destined to be a crowd pleaser. Funny with heart, and now with sex appeal. Too bad about How To Make It, but definitely a win for the Gregs, the Bergs and CBS
Looking forward to seeing this…looks like it can attract over 25′s for some entertainment.
Isn’t this a “When Harry Met Sally” rip-off??…and agree with “Truthie”…and “Jim”. This is pathetic. Somehow because Berlanti’s attached, a network thinks it’s funny??. Stop buying “people” and trying to make a project work. Try buying a funny “project” and attaching the people….or is that too difficult for these Executives to understand? Stop protecting your jobs(being able to blame it on someone else) …and possibly do them. Greenberg’s worthless.
Perhaps the other pilot vying for Greenberg should seriously consider Jon Foster. Very easy on the eyes and a talented actor who deftly fields any role he undertakes.
Bryan Greenberg is on the way, people… Yaiyyy… Can’t hardly wait
