EXCLUSIVE: CAA has signed The Help writer-director Tate Taylor. He has been everywhere this awards season with the film, which is up for four Oscars this Sunday including Best Picture. This past weekend he accepted the WGA’s Paul Selvin Award for his adapted screenplay of the civil rights-era drama. He was with WME.

Right before the Oscars? His headshot says it all. What a dick.
Considering CAA did absolutely nothing to help cast his film this is pretty shocking.
Wow. That hurts. What did WME do to cause this? Who out in Deadline land knows what happened here?
Sucks for Donnelly and Simpson. Those dudes worked real hard for Tate.
He left Mike Simpson? That’s absurd. Best in the business and that move is going to cost him money. No one in town makes deals like Mike.
Wow. Really?
Really. Dude was a nobody a second ago. Does anyone have the scoop on this.
Gay mafia! jk. Who knows. He’s cute though. But man, if The Help was a drama, it sure was marketed like a feel good comedy about maids.
Wow.. What’s the scoop? Who’s going to handle him at CAA? Greenberg? Gering?
Looks like The Help wins Best Picture now
classic hollywood move, good going tate…..
OMG – WME is sinking!!!
Robin Quivers’ comments about this penny dreadful melodrama were so right on. It’s fiction, it’s retrograde, it’s white people saving black people but it didn’t even happen…she said ‘can’t this movie just go away?’
hahahahahahaha
racist Hollywood – gross!
Who does he think he is… Moving to another agency where he thinks he will have better representation?
Doesn’t he realize that his previous agents worked so hard on writing his scripts and directing his cast?
He should show more loyalty to the people that he is paying to work for him!
I hope he’s got some other friends who wrote books and will go to bat for him, because I don’t see anyone clamoring for his talents.
