Carlos is a fantastic agent! He doesn’t specialize in Latino actors though, he specializes in real, strong actors! Good for him and good for APA! I hope they paid him the big bucks because he is worth every penny!
Paradigm needs to acknowledge it’s become a music agency!!!! Their talent department has been depleted of all it’s good/senior agents. Paradigm has lost seven senior agents and have brought in a total of zero senior agents. The only senior agents are Sarah Fargo in New York and Norman Aladjem in Los Angeles. Sam continues to buy and add music agents and spend 90% of his time with the music side and leaves the talent department without any real leadership. Every time someone gets close to Sam or control that person is forced out. It’s happen to the last five talent department heads. Do the research and you will see this is correct. The talent client list is a joke beside Mr. Phillip Seymour Hoffman. The literary department is a bigger joke with the SAW team being their biggest clients. TV lit., Jeff Benson and Debbie Klien really!!!! Both are holding on desperately to one client each. The agency had zero new packages this year and yet both walk around miserable like they own the place. Debbie and Jeff couldn’t get a job with any major agency in town and yet they’re in charge. Sam should just merge the music agency, Paradigm, with a real talent agency who doesn’t have a music department and create something interesting so he can continue to have fun with his shinny toy, Paradigm.
Good for Carlos. Paradigm’s talent department finally get an Oscar nominated actor in Damian Bichir and his agent walks out the door a month before the big dance. Classic Paradigm for you.
Carlos came in with David Guillod who just left but seriously, an agent who hops from UTA to Paradigm to APA within 3 years is not a stable force, which is what you want in an agent.
Clearly you don’t REALLY know Carlos’ work ethic; or if you do, this is just a hate comment. Seriously. As evidenced by the comments on here- he’s a class act. Rather than speculate, maybe you should do your homework first before making an idiotic comment.
Carlos is a first rate agent and hustles like nobody’s business for his clients, APA made a smart move bringing him over…..go get it Carlos!

Paradigm may be a dump – frankly it’s simply stopped being a true talent agency, but APA is a growing player. Any agent should see it as a viable place to grow their business.
Good for apa. They have some great talent agents. The only problem is that Ryan Martin runs the department. The whole department hates him. All he does is put his name on every clients papers and then sit in his office betting on basketball. Get rid of Ryan Martin and the agency can make the jump to the next level.
Bitter? Ryan Martin is a fantastic agent and a great leader. It’s a pleasure doing business with APA because of him.
APA is a stronger agency than Paradigm these days. Norm Aladjem is running the company into the ground with his lack of management skills. Congratulations Carlos on getting out.
This is good for APA, Carlos is a great get for them. Carlos is a terrific agent, hard working and loyal to his clients with a great eye for talent and not just Latin talent. Go get em Carlos!

He works hard and is a pleasure to deal with. APA added a new reason for an actor to sign with them. If he wants to sign you, you can be sure you’ll have someone totally loyal and invested.
