• All I hope is that this doesn’t become less about Jackie Robinson than it is about the Nice White People that helped him succeed.

  I’ll never forget watching the pos known as The Blind Side and how they made the football player the third lead in his own life story.

• wonder how much a role the Durocher character will play in the movie since Durocher was banned from baseball in 1947 ??
  … Leo might have been with the Dodgers in spring training in Havana in ’47 but have not seen anything in print about when he was banned …

  and Leo only managed Robinson for half the 1948 season (until mid-July) and then off to the Giants.

  and Durocher probably had plenty of contact with Jackie in 1946 spring training in Florida.

  and the Dodgers had two managers in 1947 and wonder if both will have characters in the film? I would think so.
