“Dancing with the Has Beens” is the more appropriate name for this show.
Jaleel White is still alive?!
I wonder if there’s even one person in this world who has heard of all 12 of those “stars” (and not via DWTS).
They added a 12th couple at the last minute, I wonder who that was — if it was gladys knight and maks who was rumored to not be included.
They follow a formula and this is no different, at least one Disney Channel star (to bring in the younger viewers), a few old sport stars, a few old television stars (to bring in the older viewers), and one person that can sing.
The one thing that is missing is a controversial person (Palin’s daughter, Chastity Bono, etc)
Pure Disney/ABC formula should do just fine.
Another season of “Dancing With People You Have To Google”.
so who are Roshon Fegan ,William Levy, Gavin Degraw ? These are stars ? Maybe in their own minds
It’s as if they put two barrels on top of each other and scraped the bottom of the first one so deep that they ended up in the second barrel and ended up scraping the bottom of that one. This season of DWTS should be exciting.
Wow – time to find some new talent bookers.
Gotta say, it’s becoming tiresome, seeing the standard set of ‘Dancing with the has-beens’ jokes trotted out after every cast announcement. You guys are pretty short on material. Fact is, this show is innocuous family fun in a primetime landscape littered with shows I wouldn’t dare to show my kids. Not only that, it’s a ratings juggernaut and relatively cheap to produce, even amongst its reality-competition peers, so you can be guaranteed it’s going to be around for many more seasons. And finally, I find DWTS to be refreshingly funny and self-aware of how silly it actually is… so many reality-competitions shows are so SEROIUS.
Point is, haters are gonna hate. Get over it, or find a new, interesting way to clown the show, because your jokes are TIRED.
I honestly feel like the producers put a bunch of names in a hat of people who were rejected by shows like Celebrity Rehab and Celebrity Apprentice ( which at best have B list stars) and get them for virtually nothing just so the show can help revitalize their careers for a brief 4 month stint… Sad.
Is it because I’m somewhat young (23) or should I have heard of more than just 2 of these people?
Who are these people? Seriously. I thought the show was dancing with the STARS? Even Celebrity Apprentice has better “Celebrities” At least I know 90% Of them without the help of Google.
They didn’t add a 12th couple at the end. They always have at least 12. This is a perfect cast with something for all ages and demo groups. I had to laugh that all of Paul Reubens’ azz-kizzing didn’t work, Thank God. This show knows what it’s doing.
