Kiefer Sutherland will not be returning to his old Monday 9 PM slot where his previous Fox drama, 24, aired. The network has made a scheduling change, moving Sutherland’s new series, Touch, to Thursdays where it will air after American Idol beginning March 22. Touch will bump utility player Bones, which will be on the move yet again, this time to Mondays where it will lead the night at 8 PM beginning April 2. That same night, House will slide back to 9 PM where it will finish its run. Fox also announced that its 25th anniversary special will air April 22.

Good, that’s the way it should have been all along. It’s post- Idol retention for its preview was amazing. Bones no longer deserves that spot, it can survive in its own paired with House. And plus, House isn’t in the position to be the leadin for anything promising anymore.
Good move. Push would crash on Modays just like Terra Nova and Alcatraz. But on the other hand, FOX is treating Bones horribly.
Fox has ALWAYS treated Bones with little or no respect. The show that delivers over and over and over with ratings, the show that has been moved many times over years, the show that quite obviously has a lot of loyal fans – and here we go again. Another move.
GO BONES! You can do it! (Again!)
Bones is often mistreated, luckily it has loyal fan who will watch it wherever they put it.
Good news for Touch. It gets an Idol boost and doesn’t have to premiere out of the flop Alcatraz.
I’ll be glad to have Bones back three days early as well.
Not suprising given how strong The Voice is doing Mondays & how promising Touch looks.
Fox has Lost grasp Mondays.
Bones does well anywhere
FRINGE???????????? When are they going to announce whether or not it is renewed?
Probably after they look at their pilots. Fringe is an average-at-best performer for a night that no one does well on (Friday) that’s getting increasingly expensive and spent half of this season feeling like it was creatively bankrupt.
Love Touch. Also love Alcatraz.
“Creatively bankrupt”? That’s ridiculous. Fringe isn’t everyone’s cup of tea (obviously) but that show has more creativity in its little finger than practically anything else on network TV.
It’s true: Everyone looooves derivative movie sci-fi, but get real science fiction on television and no one wants to touch it with a 10-foot pole.
The show managed to stay on the air for four years, that’s a triumph any way you slice it, considering that it’s the least-stupid show on the tube.
And yet no word on the future of Terra Nova. I am fearing the worse for Terra Nova.
How is Alcatraz a flop. Its up against the toughest line up on Monday’s and has only gone down since airing against The Voice. I love Alcatraz and so do most people I know.
It premiered to a 3.3 demo and was down to a 1.8 last week . That’s the performance of a show that’s going to be canceled. Fox would be insane to renew it.
I love when people say and “So do most people i know? Do you know like 20 or 30 people. Does that speak for the whole country on who is watching what? Noooooo. It went down when it had to go against actual competition. It went against the Voice and the CBS comedies came back for new episodes. It was going against nothing for a couple of episodes and was even dropping then. It has dropped from a 3.3 demo to a 1.8 demo. It’s a flop. And the CBS comedies and even The Bachelor still get good ratings so stop with the excuses. The ratings are terrible. And the show is mediocre. Huge flop.
Well said.
25th anniversary for what?
Wow…..just when I thought Fox could not possible piss on the work horse show called Bones any more than it has in the past. They will NOT promote this show, they have failed in the past and have proven they don’t care about winning any demographic on any night they air it.
Hope I am wrong, but I see this show on the way out…..they don’t give a damn about it. Monday nights? Seriously, they go into this knowing that they can’t come out on top on Monday nights in the ratings. Pair it up with a show that is done, hint hint fans. Brace yourselves.
I hope it backfires on them and the Bones/House combination picks up in the ratings. I can dream, can’t I?
Guess I’ll be missing Bones, since I have to work on Monday nights… I HATE schedule changes!
Poor Bones, but this season has been a mess. They should’ve never done the fall premier nor should they have incorporated the pregnancy into the show. Maybe Bones will lose the baby and the show can move on and have a great eighth season.
Oh well. Looked like a great show from the first episode. But my Thursday 9pm slot is already so over full that I will not get to see it. I already miss the finder because of it’s time slot and will miss Touch. I like person of interest and Secret circle too much. Good show or not I will not go to the trouble of watching it on the PC later. Wednesday night is completely dead and Monday though full probably would have had a better chance with me than Thursday. Unless they moved it to 8pm. Idol is only watched when there is absolutely nothing else to watch. Which guess what? That’s almost anytime the absolutely boring show is on, there is nothing else to watch. Everyone is too scared to compete with it. I would rather watch Touch as a lead in to idol because singing shows are getting way over done and boring.
Lose the baby? Seriously? Dude, that’s suicide to the show. Fans are clamoring for this baby to arrive. Idk what’s up with people constantly saying that the season was horrible and whatnot when they still come back to see the show again and again. Plus, they said the same thing about season 6, yet Bones is still alive and kicking. I see this show going for an 8th season and then they end it. Plus everyone knows why the season has been discombobulated, Emily’s pregnancy and the maternity leave. That’s basically why the season has been stupid.
