EXCLUSIVE: After Harry Potter’s Daniel Radcliffe turned in great numbers on the CBS Films-distributed The Woman In Black, and Emma Watson readies for a re-team with David Yates in Your Voice Inside My Head for Warner Bros, what has become of that bratty Draco Malfoy, who tormented the hell out of Potter and his wand-waving mates over eight films? Tom Felton is in negotiations to star opposite Elizabeth Olsen and Glenn Close in Therese Raquin. Written and set to be helmed by acclaimed theater director Charlie Stratton, the film’s being produced by William Horberg and Mickey Liddell. Close is attached for the role of Madame Raquin, and Olsen for Therese, who, with her lover Laurent, murder her husband (Felton), a sick boy that Madame Raquin forced Therese to marry. After Therese later marries her true love, the couple is haunted by the ghost of the dead husband and it poisons their love into all-consuming hatred.
Felton, who last year finished off the Harry Potter series and had a supporting role in Rise of the Planet of the Apes, just finished production on the Tandem/Scott Free Productions TV mini Labyrinth as well as From The Rough, and The Apparition at Warner Bros. WME reps him along with Untitled and UK-based Troika.

For me, Tom has a likability factor. I’m glad he’s playing other roles than the antagonist.
All very well but young Mr Felton seriously can not act! Rumour has it he is as wooden as an Redwood in Labyrinth!!
I agree with you. I didn’t like him as Draco Malfoy. Draco’s character is supposed to be regal, indifferent, snarky and proud. He played Draco like a wimp. Honestly, Alex Pettyfer or even Freddie Stroma could have done a better job. In my opinion, he’s overrated.
Honestly? I think he’s pretty good…. I feel in love with Draco in Harry Potter, I loved his character and it had its very own unique personality that was completely different to his actual personality… he was actually pretty good… And just because you heard rumors about him being so bad in Labyrinth have you even watched it?!?! Just because you heard ‘Bad-talk’ about him, specially when you haven’t watched the movie why and how are you even judge him like that? I I actually found halraty that you haven’t watched it and you “still” say that he was bad… I think a lot of people who like/love (people like me…) Tom Felton might find this ridiculous and a load (not gonna swear) garbage… I’m sorry… this is just my option to your rubbish yet halarious comment about Tom… pleaseee don’t take any offense to this…x
Wait until my father hears about this!
sorrrry but i love him as draco, like Unkown said he played his character really well. what did not make sense was the fact that draco was supposed to be really strong and not weak or anything but why did he run away when hermione hit him just a tad weird.
Hooray! Tom is such a good actor! Funny how such an obvious nice guy gets so many roles as unfriendly people. I’m looking forward to seeing Labyrinth, that is more how I see Felton.
I’m really glad that Tom will do another film, is a great actor! .. I can not wait to see this movie! .. Tom is the best!
I have only known Felton from Harry potter and from his dazzling twitter personality. Should be interesting to see him jump into the roll of pesky poltergeist.
Yes! I think Tom Felton and Elizabeth Olsen would be perfect opposite one another, and the story line is fabulous. It would definitely be a must see, even more so as Felton seals the deal. So excited! Can’t wait to see Tom in a major role again
Boy was dreadful in Apes. His hamminess really stood out against Franco’s naturalism.
Franco’s naturalism? what a joke.
Really? I thought he did ok, given the material. Imo it was more of a problem with the character he was playing than bad acting per se.
You really needed to identify “Therese Raquin” as “based on the novel by Emile Zola. You’d be surprised how many people in Hollywood read novels.
I agree 100%.
Hear, hear.. #EmileZola
Cant wait to see this amazing actor in another movie really sounds interesting
Well done, Charlie. You’ve been working on this a long time. I’m proud to say I was there for the truly memorable performance you coaxed out of Ms Hope and now I can’t wait to see this piece come to life on the big screen!
TOM,you are the best.I alway support u~
Ah I cannot wait to see him in something new! So in love with him! he’s a brilliant actor and I miss seeing his face on the big screen :’)
Tom Felton is a very talented actor and it is good to hear that he is playing new movies (from the rough is a great movie must see it)
wow.,i will support tom felton forever..
I think anyone who bad-mouths Thomas is jealous.
He works really hard in movies and his real life.
He just makes it look easy. You try professional acting. Leave the poor boy alone.
ps.
Draco /is/ a whimp. Didn’t you read the books?
At last Tom gets to play a “good-guy” I’m sure he’s going to show the world that he is a great actor and all, I’m a really big fan of him and I’m happy that he gets to play one of the leading role for once, And elizabeth’s also a good actress so yep, I’m very impatient !!
I don’t understand how people could bash Tom for playing Draco terribly? Tom did a fine job in the beginning he was suppose to be a proud, arrogant, father loving boy which he did. When he grows up he understands that was never him, but he had no choice. So how does that make him a wimp or any coward. He played him like he had to a boy who knew his fate was set but he couldn’t do anything or his family would be at risk.
hw can any1 say something so rude abt some1 when u dnt knw them personally… just bcoz u’ve the ryt to say doesn’t mean u can spill ur rubbish beans anywhr.. he’s good to the core… and doing bad boy is much more difficult, thn doing good.. so spare ur bad words for the ppl u knw, personally… he’s as good as draco, as he is good as Thomas…. u’ll definitely rock nd win many more accolades again… thumbs up Thomas…
i think felton was the perfect draco malfoy,in the books draco was a chauvinistic arrogant prat but he wasn’t brave in fact far from it i think tom played his role amazingly and for those who disaggre wait till his father hears about this
