EXCLUSIVE: ICM just signed British comedian/actor Steve Coogan. Coogan last starred in Our Idiot Brother and the upcoming Michael Winterbottom-directed The Trip, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival. He’s developing several other projects including Cruise of the Gods, the David Guion/Michael Handelman-directed comedy, and a feature based on Coogan’s Alan Partridge character. He’s managed by 3 Arts and is repped in the UK by Independent Talent Group.

Looks like the reports of ICM’s demise are premature. Didn’t Peter Weir sign recently also?
Which would be huge in 1988
1988?! Where have you been lately? It would also huge in 2003 with Master & Commander, or in 1998 with Truman Show — and frankly, it’s huge now, unless you’re an ageist with no sense of respect for a magnificent career. I wonder what you’ve done lately?
I bet the first gig they get him will be TITANIC 2 in which he reprises the role of teacher Dana Marschz. And his career will sink with the project, along with the agency, as it bombs like HAMLET 2.
I’m a bit confused. Are they remaking the TV movie Cruise of the Gods? Is The Trip being released in theaters? It’s already been on Movies on Demand. Or maybe they mean an American version of the TV show?
Is the “upcoming Michael Winterbottom-directed The Trip” which stars Steve Coogan a remake of the Michael Winterbottom-directed The Trip, which also starred Steve Coogan and was in theatres several months back, which is also currently available on DVD and streaming on Netflix?
adios to that horrid jeremy barber that made his client look awful, in fact jeremy makes all of his clients look terrible, one of the worst in this biz
good for ICM -
Well, he’s obviously decided to make his career in television.
The trip is funny , don’t get me wrong, but I saw it on netflix months ago….
Stan, he went from Barber to CAA, now ICM. Just clarifying…he’s making the rounds.
