Jenny McCarthy, whose TV career launched on MTV with the 1995 game show Singled Out, is making it a full circle, signing on for a talk show on MTV’s older-skewing sibling VH1. The project, The Jenny McCarthy Show, still in early development stages, will feature McCarthy skewering everyone and everything in pop culture, news, fashion, TV, movies and the web, and will also include guest panelists and celebrity interviews. The Jenny McCarthy Show, executive produced by McCarthy and Michael Davies, will premiere on VH1 in the summer/fall of 2012. This is McCarthy’s third stab at launching a talk show in the past couple of years. She had a daytime talk show in development at Oprah Winfrey’s Harpo Prods., which didn’t go forward. Last year, she did a daytime talk show pilot for NBC Universal’s syndication division, which didn’t sell.

Is VH1′s demo now 25-50? I thought it brought in a much younger demo – not sure who’s gonna be watching this or even give a rats ass what she has to say. She should be doing this on OWN, in my humble opinion.
Where have you been for the past three decades? The whole point of VH1 was that it was supposed to bring in an older audience than MTV.
As for McCarthy, if she’d just stuck to acting, she might be fun to watch as a talkshow host. Unfortunately, her campaign against vaccines is so misguided, she should have lost any right to be a public figure.

Love Jenny. Seems like a perfect fit for VH1.
If she had an ounce of humanity and apologized, I might forgive her for the many deaths of newborns in the last few years who caught diseases from unvaccinated kids. But I’ll still always think “baby killer” when I read her name.
I don’t know how she can live with herself. I don’t know how the people at VH1 can live with themselves now either.
