EXCLUSIVE: Katherine Heigl will star in Face Blind, an independent thriller about a psychologist struck with a rare affliction that makes it impossible to distinguish people by their faces. When a man who terrorized her most vulnerable patient stalks her, the psychologist can’t recognize him, and her husband thinks she’s the one who is going crazy. Heigl will produce with Maven Pictures’ partners Trudie Styler and Celine Rattray. Scripted by Dominic Harari and Teresa De Pelegri, the film’s in the vein of The Others. Paradigm reps Heigl, who is currently onscreen in One For The Money, an adaptation of the Janet Evanovich novel.

NO!! Katherine Heigl is a true star — her movies make MILLIONS, she’s gorgeous and a great actress and she’ll be great in this. So glad to see her finally do a thriller after a few too many rom coms.
I feel I am being sold here by a pr person on Heigl’s payroll. KH is unknown internationally, and very few people go see her in theatres here. This gush of enthusiasm is too on-the-money to be believable. Katherine is not a star, she is a celebrity, not the same.
My memory is that her films do very well overseas. So I think she is known worldwide.

Currently onscreen sucking as Steph Plum in ONe For The Money. Sony messed around with that property for over a decade and then they ruin it with bad casting and a bad script. The TV pilot was waaaaay better.

Well, it sounds nothing like ‘The Others’, but A LOT like ‘Gothika’… HUGE difference quality-wise. The good news ? Both made money.
What’s up with ‘Escape’, the film about Carolyn Jessop ? That could be a great role, she should pursue that and other quality projects.
Having said that, kudos for FINALLY changing it up a bit, the romcom-thing worked for the first few times but her audience is now clearly bored with it, so doing something completely different might do the trick.

O.K. that was funny. But Heigl is producing the movie, so no one is “hiring” her. She is the boss. She just needed to convince the moneymen.
If you look at the cast of One For The Money, you can tell she called the shots on the casting.

But…but…wait… Faces in the Crowd just came out last fall with Milla Jovovich as a woman with “face-blindness” who was being stalked. We need another one already? Are face-blindness movies the new superhero movies?
And I like the comparison to The Others. Since The Other was a ghost movies and this is not, then that means they are probably saying this movie has a big twist like The Others. So I say with 100% certainty that the husband will turn out to be the villain. BOOK IT!

Is this a serious plot for a set up movie? C’mon. This has got to be some sort of gag, right? Who would be involved with something like this on any level. It sounds like the subplot to a bad soap opera. And we wonder why people don’t pay to see movies any more.

I’ve been saying this for years katherine Heigl can’t sell a movie the same goes for Jennifer Aniston..but to the people that wrote above me: there are some laughing all the way to the bank because they fooled you and everyone else that these two grade “C” actresses can get movies made and appear in them.. KC is a horrible actress as for jennifer Aniston–same goes…both of these ladies are TV actors–nothing more the fact that Hollywood sold them as moviestars–kudos for them–your very Smart Dumb-asses and I wish I had the money you’ve made off these swamp beasts…hmmmm now there’s a thought…. katherine Heigl and jennifer Aniston in the remake of Cagney and Lacey??? come all ye agents and executives you know you’ll jump on this one!
Oh, come on!! First of all, no one saw the Jovovich movie because it was terrible (which this ISN’T), secondly, Katherine Heigl is a great actress – she was great in Knocked Up, she was great in Grey’s Anatomy – thirdly, she’s made tons of movies – 27 Dresses for example – that have done very well.
And most importantly, the Face Blind script is pretty brilliant, really scary and smart, one of the best thrillers I’ve read in a long, long time. I for one can’t wait to see this film.
