Lifetime has picked up Bristol Palin: Life’s A Tripp, a 10-episode docuseries chronicling Bristol Palin’s life as a young, single mother living in the spotlight of being Sarah Palin’s daughter. The series will focus on how Bristol adjusts to life in Alaska with her son Tripp and her interactions with with her parents, former Alaska governor and Vice Presidential candidate Sarah Palin and Todd, and siblings. “From the first moment she was thrust into the public eye, Bristol and her son have been the subjects of a huge amount of curiosity and misunderstanding,” said Rob Sharenow, EVP, Programming, of Lifetime Networks. “This show will reveal the real Bristol Palin and her journey as a daughter, a mother and a young woman making her way in the world.” Bristol Palin: Life’s a Tripp will be produced by Associated Television International, with David McKenzie, Jim Romanovich and David Martin executive producing. The company was previously behind another Bristol Palin reality series, which was greenlighted by Bio but never got to air. It was to be set in Los Angeles and feature Palin and her Dancing With The Stars pal, actor Kyle Massey.

Right before Sarah Palin QUIT her elected office, she signed a generous tax rebate program into state law that rewards film production crews for filming in Alaska. With iron-clad contracts in place, we may never see the light of day on any Bristol series but I’ll bet a dollar that the grifting will happen.

Wait a minute, didn’t Palin move back to Alaska to get away from showbiz cause she really wasn’t out to be a TV star? But she needs to bask in the video camera’s glare since she’s also not made to hold down a real job that pays $10 an hour. They’re saving the episode,for sweeps week, where Sarah dumps Trig off and tells Bristol she’s tired of watching “her kid”.

Of course it goes without saying that any girl that gets pregnant out of wedlock is no good, a slut, etc… How antiquated is that point of view. Why would anybody judge Bristol by her mother? She didn’t ask for her mother to run for VP let alone Gov. of Alaska. Has Bristol made mistakes? YES, has she learned from them, some yes, some she is still learning. Good kids get bit, good kids make bad decisions, good kids have babies out of wedlock and at early ages. Actually, I would bet that there are more good kids having babies than bad ones. Why?
