That’s a terrible photo of Clooney.
It looks like he’s smuggling a “Little Person” behind him/under his suit.
Meryl–so beautiful.
Urg, so sick of George Clooney!!
agreeeee.
Those look like very well-done yearbook photos.
BORING!
GOD, enough with the diefication of these actors. They played parts in movies, they did a good job, but ugh, this is just too much.
Meryl Streep = flawless.
When someone asks what “60 is the new 40″ means, simply point them in the direction of this photo of Ms. Streep.
The reigning actor of an age is always depicted in the future by a few anecdotes, and a few images. Streep has rightfully earned her place in the canon of Burbage and Booth and Bernhardt. This image and the Annie Liebovitz RS cover will says it all.
Because they’re not already photographed enough. Wow, that’s pointless.
I’d love to see someone other than Clooney win the best actor Oscar.
Academy award nominee Melissa McCarthy, who would have thought that the woman who played Suki St. James on an underrated WB dramedy will one day have that description attached to her name. Love it.
And Viola Davis wears wigs?? I never knew that. I thought it would at least be a weave.
And finally, is there a cracker big enough for Damien Bachir… cuz he’s the hottest male nominee this year…well except for Max Von Sydow of course.
Streep. Clooney. Movie stars who play their age. Cheers to that. (Especially with what’s happening with Demi Moore in the news.) Big fan here. The exhibition looks great. You get to consider or appreciate the artistry of each nominee as well as the variety of the nominations collectively…this was done in two weeks…and the exhibit is free to the public. What’s wrong with any of that? When’s Clooney going to direct Streep? I hope that happens, a really excellent and under-rated Hollywood actor/filmmaker comparable to the likes of Beatty, Eastwood, and Redford. Clooney and Jennifer Ehle in the car in “The Ides of March.” Pitch perfect, elegant, under-stated, crucial to the rest of the film; its linchpin. My favorite acting scene this year. Unlike this portrait exhibition of talent re-contextualized from their nominated performances – blink – and you miss a casual throw-away perfection of acting and chemistry.
