Susanna Thompson (Dragonfly) has landed one of the female leads on the CW pilot Arrow. The Warner Bros TV-produced project, described as a modern retelling of the story of DC Comics character Green Arrow, stars Stephen Amell as the vigilante superhero who fights crime using archery, martial arts and technology under his secret identity as Oliver Queen, a wealthy playboy and billionaire industrialist-turned-outspoken politician in Star City. Thompson will play his mother, Moira Queen. David Nutter is directing the pilot, written/executive produced by Andrew Kreisberg, Greg Berlanti and Marc Guggenheim. Thompson’s series credits include arcs on Cold Case and NCIS.
Jess Weixler and Agam Darshi (Sanctuary) have been cast in Jason Katims’ NBC drama pilot County. The Universal TV-produced project chronicles the lives of young doctors, nurses, and administrators in a frenetic underfunded and morally compromising LA County Hospital. Weixler, repped by Gersh and Mosaic, and Darshi will play two of them, joining previously cast Jason Ritter and Michael B. Jordan. British actor Sam Palladio has become the first one cast in the ABC drama pilot Nashville, a family soap set against the backdrop of the Nashville music scene revolving around one star at her peak and another on the rise. RJ Cutler is directing from a script by Callie Khouri. The two executive produce.

Things are looking bleak for Sanctuary. It’s been almost 2 months since the season ended and they haven’t been renewed yet. Most Syfy shows get their renewal before the current season ends.
Christopher Heyerdahl landed a recurring role on True Blood and now Agam Darshi has landed a network pilot.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Of course, Darshi was only in a handful of Sanctuary episodes this season.
The way Sanctuary ended made me think this would act as a series finale. The whole Hollow Earth plot really through a wrench in the show’s mythology.
Agam’s character was written as someone who was going to spend her time with another group of abnormals, getting married down there, so this doesnt mean the end of the Sanctuary.
Still, I wish they gave us news on Sanctuary’s renewal or not. A fifth season in the new Sanctuary looks like a lot of fun, and I want to see how Henry’s girlfriend and baby end up in the new order!
the producers of sanctuary really missed the boat on darshi\
finally she get to show her stuff on a great show with Katims at the helm
amanda tapping needs to get a real show now…way to talented to languish on syfy camp a thon
