Fox Business Network scrapped its entire primetime lineup today, the New York Times reported. Beginning February 20, a repeat of the 5PM to 8PM block of shows fronted by Gerri Willis, Neil Cavuto and Lou Dobbs will replace political programming in the 8PM to 11PM slot. The Willis, Cavuto and Dobbs programs tend to feature Republican politicians and conservative commentators as guests, but they are less overtly political than shows they are replacing. Those programs are Freedom Watch with Andrew Napolitano, Power & Money with David Asman and Follow the Money with Eric Bolling. All three will remain contributors in other regular slots. Fox Business News last year had an average of 54,000 total viewers in primetime. Rival CNBC had an average of 228,000 primetime viewers.

Fox Business would have higher ratings if more people had it. I only know a handful of people who do.
Big mistake! FOX will fall. Judge Napolitano is a voice of reason. He represents the people. No surprise, when the owner of FOX is a criminal. The boss at FOX doesn’t want to hear the truth!
Right on dude! We all know the judge was speaking too much truth!
Thank God they got rid of Judge Eddie Munster, I mean Andrew Napolitano. Here’s a stock tip, with the Judge not having to do his hair for the camera, shoe polish sales are going to plummet it in the coming weeks. Can’t they just put Charles Payne on in one of these slots. He is a great host and a great inspiration going from a kid working at McDonalds to the Air Force to being a very well respected analyst.
Napolitano actually seemed to speak his mind, not the mind of Fox. Even when I didn’t agree with him, I listened attentively. The problem that Fox Business and Fox News are now facing is that even when viewers agree with a GOP candidate, we find that we’re not listening to him. We’re not anticipating his next word of insight. It sounds like Fox transcript and Fox talking heads seem more like politicians. Not a good sign for Fox or the GOP’s future against Obama. The party needs to grow. Take some chances.
Sorry, but Murdoch stunted those channel’s growth at birth.
“even when viewers agree with a GOP candidate, we find that we’re not listening to him”
You might try listening to people you don’t agree with – you might learn something
Dear Fox Network: I too am very disappointed in your decision to discontinue the Judge’s program. I have learned more information on our our laws and how they have tried to protect our rights as citizens. Election processes and laws for all Americans? He is what this Media needs to stand for and polls don’t tell all the story.
Please reconsider the Judga’s program, we are loyal Fox Watchers and discuss with many people the truth what we have know and trusted in over many years, We know Soro’s has been troubling you and too has the President Obama, we know now they are both corrupt, and we pray our God will remove both from you as well as us. Thank you
When you have your own network called Fox News, there are only so many people left over to watch your other network, Fox Business.
I think in the Business World, it’s called A Transfer of Assets.
In other words. a pile of wasted money gets shifted over to a pile of much needed settlement money, in a hacking scandal.
I enjoyed The Judge’s show sad to see it go
Understandable move, matching the rerun format of FNC to serve both coasts. Libertarian viewpoint still well represented on FBN with Stossel, who I prefer to the doctrinaire Judge. Ferocity reads poorly on those with an extremely low hairline. Agree that Charles Payne is a rising star at FBN. Maybe Asman, a strong anchor and host of Steve Forbes’ show, will do more documentaries.
Best thing FBN could do would be to export a regular panelist to the widely watched Special Report with Bret Baier on FNC. Liz Claman, Charlie Gasparino, Elizabeth MacDonald etc. know a lot more about fiscal and monetary policy than Bret Baier’s usual bunch. I’d rather watch a knowledgable panelist in New York than a less informed one sitting there in Washington.
Sorry to see the demise of fox. Corporate control seems to always control what the general mass is exposed to.
Greece is coming no how you try to mask it!
I can’t believe they are changing the evening lineup. I loved watching David and Eric. While I like Gerri and Lou I will miss the others. I also watched the Judge at times.
Think this is a big mistake,
I have watched Fox News and Fox Business News for a long time and love both O’Riely and the judge. I now refuse to watch Fox Business News because of your decision. The judge has a very informational show that a lot of America needs to listen to. Sorry Fox, I just can’t watch your business station anymore. Please bring back the judge!
This is a Big Mistake. I will miss Eric Bolling. He seems like a regular Joe.
