Suzy Nakamura has been cast in NBC’s comedy pilot Go On. The project, written by Friends alum Scott Silveri, centers on an irreverent yet charming sportscaster who, trying to move on from loss, finds surprising solace from the members of his mandatory group therapy sessions. Nakamura will play one of them, who is attending because her parents are getting a divorce.
Linus Roache has joined ABC’s untitled Roland Emmerich drama pilot, from ABC Studios and the Mark Gordon Co. Written by Emmerich and Harold Kloser and to be directed by Emmerich, the project centers on Carter (Max Thieriot), an astrophysics grad student in NYC who learns that he is the chosen one to destroy the forces of evil. Roache, repped by ICM and manager Vanessa Perrera, will play Senator Teras, an ambitious, enigmatic man with an eye on the White House.
Newcomer Ana Nogueira has been cast in Fox’s comedy pilot El Jefe. The Sony TV project, from writers David Guarascio & Moses Port and Sony TV, centers on an affable but lost 30-year-old (Ryan Hansen) who, tossed out of his Brentwood home, moves in with his longtime Latin American nanny and finds himself in a family and work life very different than the ones he grew up in. Nogueira, repped by Innovative and Gartner/Green Entertainment, will play the nanny’s daughter: a beautiful, fiercely competitive doctor-in-residence.
