Four episodes into Being Human‘s second season, Syfy has renewed the drama series for a third with a 13-episode order. To date, Season 2 is running 27% higher in adults 18-49 and 5% in total viewers vs. last season. With women comprising 52% of its audience, Being Human is Syfy’s most female-skewing scripted series ever. “(Showrunners) Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke have taken this series to new heights this year and we’re excited to see where the third season will go,” said Syfy’s president of original content Mark Stern. Based on the British series created by Toby Whithouse, Being Human stars Sam Witwer, Meaghan Rath and Sam Huntington as vampire Aidan, ghost Sally and werewolf Josh who share the creature comforts of home in a Boston brownstone. Executive Producers are Michael Prupas, Jeremy Carver and Anna Fricke, Adam Kane, and Rob Pursey and Whithouse.

The dramatic interaction on this show is realistic. Merlin is also a great series. Love both shows. What happens between the characters is just real so I can see why women are liking it.
The other shows on the SyFy network are so dorky though! How do you expect Scifi lovers who are the most logical people to believe that ghosts are real on Ghost Hunters. Yeah right.
The shows that really suck with the cheesiest and dumbest human interaction are:
1. Eureka (Cheesy! enough said)
2. Lost Girl (I don’t care how hot she is. They have her running around babysitting a little brat and her interaction with the male lead lacks so much depth that it makes me want to vomit. Good premise, poorly executed.)
3. Sanctuary (I loved Stargate. This show is so campy and the lines and drama are so stupid. This show also has a great premise, it’s just executed terribly)
I love scifi but those shows are one step away from the Batman and Robin movie of stupid scenes.
Being Human and Merlin are the only two exceptions of great shows for that network.
If they can keep up with the quality of the UK show then bring it on!
This show is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

The network has been on its last legs with all this scifi-lite programming. There was a glimmer of hope with SGU, the only good Stargate spinoff, but of course they cancelled it and now all they have is mediocre shows, killer hurricane movies, and that god awful reality show about makeup. Really?
Good for Syfy! It’s about time they had a breakout hit. Merlin, the show the media laughed off because NBC botched it — and now would love ratings that good! — is an excellent catch for Syfy. Its ratings have been running about 30-40% higher than last season and, you know what? Like another poster said, it’s a REALLY good show. Too family oriented and chaste for many hipster, sardonic viewers but clearly someone likes it since on a per-episode basis it is pulling in more viewers than EITHER Being Human or Lost Girl and has about 60% more viewers than Spartacus: Vengeance. If you haven’t yet, it’s worth checking out. Syfy is slowly outgrowing its bad recent history, but still IS the home of WWE. Which is very scifi, of course.
I love horror films and BeingHuman is just 1 step away from it. I love the show so much, I’ve seen every one of them.
I love Being Human and Lost Girl!!!! 2 of the best shows ever on Syfy! I look forward to Monday nights.
OMG, so happy this show is coming back…I am addicted!! One of the best shows on TV! I only wish there was an app that notified me when the new season begins! The story line is amazing and I love the charactors!! The chemistry between them is awesome.

“Being Human” ROCKS!!!! I have been consumed with watching this series. Too have to choose between playoff hockey and Being Human (repeats of being Human also) is an EASY choice. Being Human All the way!!!!!!

I absolutely love Being Human, the cast and crew have done such a wonderful job taking the UK version and turning it into an original american syfy. I also love Lost Girl, Alphas, Eureka and many others but Being Human is at the top of my list.

I am really upset with you people. what is the big secret about when this next season will air? After last season’s cliffhanger final episode, if I miss the beginning of this season I am REALLY going to kick somebody’s you know what!

I would like to know when season 3 will start. The one w/Sam Witwer. I love, love, love this show. Can’t wait for it to come back. The combination of the three is fabulous. The way they try to live normal lives it reminds me of all of us. Trying to be as normal as possible. Besides their unusual lives they have some of the normal mistakes that we all make. Anyway, the season opener for the third season would be great.
Does any one know if SYFY will be airing Being Human USA season 2 before season 3 stats? Are when will it will be coming out on DVD so I can buy it?
