EXCLUSIVE: That was quick. Monica Raymund, whose recurring character on CBS’ The Good Wife just quit over a demotion at the DA office on Sunday, has been cast as one of the leads in a new drama series project set in Chicago, the NBC pilot Chicago Fire. On Wolf Films and Universal TV’s action-driven drama about the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, Raymund will play Gabriella, a fast-thinking and fearless paramedic committed to her job. Michael Brandt and Derek Haas wrote the pilot, which is being directed by Jeffrey Nachmanoff. Dick Wolf, Brandt, Haas, Peter Jankowski and Danielle Gelber executive produce. Before her major arc on The Good Wife, Raymund, repped by Gersh and the Group Entertainment, was a regular on the Fox drama Lie To Me. On Chicago Fire, she joins recently cast Taylor Kinney.

Great script, GREAT role.
‘Chicago Fire’? Chicago Fire Department… I don’t like the sound of this at all, this is a Dick Wolf product? No way. I’m not really interested in this!
They should have given us ‘Law & Order: Chicago’ (which NBC certainly needs). Season 13 of ‘Law & Order: SVU’ is so awesome, despite Chris Meloni’s exit! Rumor says ‘Law & Order: Criminal Intent’ might come back an 11th season on NBC, but I won’t believe that until NBC proves it.
As for Dick Wolf’s ‘Chicago Fire’, I find myself uninterested. Just like with his other non-’Law & Order’ related shows like ‘Conviction’ and ‘Deadline’.
caleb, give it a shot. the script is VERY good, and monica is even better.
I have a huge crush on her. Liked her a lot the first season of Lie To Me. The show lost it’s way the second season but I always liked her. Good luck you beautiful creature.
when will this show air
