It’s been so long since anybody has seen anything new from four-time Best Drama Emmy winner Mad Men — as in we seem to recall there was some AMC series years ago about a good-looking but seriously flawed advertising guy and his co-workers set in the 1960s. But at last here’s the first teaser to the new season that begins March 25. Does it ring any bells?

So Don DIDN’T get married in the interim…or married/divorced, or he is married and still hitting on all the single gals…yep, Don is BACK!
AMC needs to get their head out of their asses and launch “Mad Men” properly, with the reverence and respect it deserves. It’s bad enough you put this series on the backburner for eighteen months. This relaunch feels more like an afterthought than an event.
For a start, that means NOT releasing a trailer this shitty. It looks like it was cut by a film student on Final Cut Pro, with an awful soundtrack to match.
Let’s try again folks.
Completely agree!
Beyond the series itself, I’m excite because I’ve never watched this as it aired before – did the whole series on Netflix. Also I like Netflix.
Episode 1 will have to have the longest “Previously on…” EVER.
For a show about advertising, that teaser does nothing and reveals next to nothing to whet viewers’ appetites. The catchy music promised changes that were exploding in America in 65 and 66 and then…pfft…all we got was Don, Don, Don. I still can’t wait for the new season.
I understand your thoughts but remember, it’s all about marketing.
With the show being off the air so long and the last season being somewhat dark and bleak I think this is a smart attempt at luring viewers back in with a “happier memory” of the series.
Remember…Old fans will be back regardless. They’re looking for new ones.
To the general public (who didn’t watch and know much about MAD MEN) it was all about Don Draper being suave and charming.
This seems to be a clever way to excite both loyal viewers and “new” viewers to the season.
Don is back! Jon Hamm is amazing in the role. Perfection. To start, I Netflixed and then bought all seasons on Blu-ray. The best drama on TV or film I’ve seen in a while; the writing, style and tone is beyond amazing. Season 5 will be the first time I’ll catch the episodes in real time. I don’t think I can handle waiting for piecemeal weekly episodes when I usually watch them 2 or 3 at a time. The 2 hour-long premiere should remedy this initially.
Well that was just a bunch of old clips… Nothing to see here. Let me know when there actually is.
Are any of these images actually from Season 5? They looked like they were all from past episodes.
Draper is back. I’m hoping he goes raw dog in the season premiere!
AWESOME….love me some of that Jon Hamm….
he is so gorgeous
This looks good. It reminds me of a show that used to be on AMC several years ago. Its been so long I cant remember the name though. Striking similarities.
Footage from last season!
I wonder how much Lucky Strike and the Tobacco industry pay to bankroll this series
Most overrated show on television.
i watch just to look at john hamm .the storylines i find depressing and sad , people trapped by society, tricked into thinking extreme self gratification somehow substantiates the burden of life.
so many negative comments. can’t wait to see what shows yall come up with since mad men is so bad
Cant wait, wish the financials worked for them to crank out more episodes each year. Should be on hbo. Sorry amc folks youve worked so hrd and done so well. After this Jon H becomes a major movie star, we r currently lacking MEN on the silver screen cluttered with a sea Of pretty boys most guys wouldnt share a beer with an “every man” is needed.
Worth waiting for. What is the music in the background?
