Fourteen year-old The X Factor finalist Rachel Crow, whose shocking elimination created one of the biggest controversies on the Fox series’ first season, has signed an overall talent deal with Nickelodeon. Under the pact, the network is developing a comedy series for Crow to star in, which will shoot a pilot. Additionally, she will recur on Nickelodeon’s upcoming short-form series Fred: The Show opposite star Lucas Cruikshank, playing Starr, an imaginative, confident but awkward teenager. “Rachel is an original,” said Nickelodeon’s EVP Paula Kaplan. “She’s funny, genuine and has raw talent and a passion for performing. On the music side, Columbia Records/Syco has exercised its option to sign her. “This girl has it,” X Factor and Syco’s Simon Cowell said. “We saw her potential at the first audition and Nickelodeon and Columbia are the right homes for her.”

Way to go Rachel. Knew you would do it.
Extremely Happy for her. Just wish it had been Disney. Disney havn’t had a true star since Miley, Selena Demi and Jo Bros Graduated. She would have perfect for That role.
Eh. It’s a gig.
Eh. Someone’s bitter.
Her getting a TV show makes perfect sense. I think she could be pretty successful kid actor.
I thought I read she had a deal with Disney
I am so glad she’s headed to Nick rather than Disney. iCarly is infinitely better than all of Disney’s programming combined. Plus, all those girls look the same, especially the “new class.” Anorexic and look way too old. Rachel has pizzazz and a youthful spirit. She will be dynamite on Nickelodeon. A perfect fit.
Good God, she is so “kitschy” cutesie fake and annoying.
GO RACHEL GOOOOO!!
She deserves this! Only the beginning!
Good for you, Rachel! I remember your audition episode. You definitely have “it” and I you’ll do great with Nickelodeon!!!
