Sony Pictures says the Monday actuals for R-rated 21 Jump Street moved higher because of a better-than-expected Sunday. Friday’s figure was $13.2M, Saturday $12.9M, and Sunday $10.1M for a 3-day weekend total of $36.3M.

No surprises there. Chris and Phil rock my world.

Channing Tatum is the only actor who I’ve been a fan of despite thinking he couldn’t act and his movies were crap (I haven’t seen Haywire, and I’ve since enjoyed 21 Jump Street). He just has that “not a dick” air about him, which is underrated and can be invaluable for an actor.
And going by anecdotal evidence based on my friends’ reactions to 21 Jump Street, that key 18-35 male demo is quickly coming around to this guy. Not unlike when Pitt did Fight Club and Dicaprio did Catch Me If You Can and Gangs of New York.
Pretty-boy actors are a dime-a-dozen, but a pretty-boy actor thought highly of by both girls and guys is like a unicorn that shits cash.
between this and project x, looks like 18-24 year old guys are still strong at the box office.
This was the best comedy that came out in a while. Waay better than Hangover 2.
is Hangover 2 the current benchmark?
I loved this movie. So fucking funny.
21 Jump Street’s AWESOME. A must see
