After doing a live episode in October 2010, NBC’s 30 Rock will do it again next month. Co-star Alec Baldwin revealed the plan in an interview with Extra. “So watch Thursday night, April 26,” he told the entertainment newsmagazine. The 2010 live episode, done in part because 30 Rock was behind schedule in its production, was well received and earned two Emmy nominations, including one for director Beth McCarthy-Miller.

IMHO: Instead of doing a live episode-they should put some effort into making the current season better. This show has turned into crap. 30 Rock’s not even close to being relevant anymore. Maybe it’s time to cancel it-free up some room for something better. If Nbc isn’t willing to change-they will always languish in last place.
Could not disagree more. After a bit of a slump last year, 30 ROCK is back with a vengeance. Consistently strong and funny this season.
Thanks for your original comment. People never complain about 30 Rock anymore.
I welcome it. 30 Rock is the only bonafide “comedy” NBC has on it’s schedule. Chelsea might have been something with better casting but the rest of their half hours blow goats. I’d put 30 Rock up against almost any comedy currently airing.
Gimmicksssssss…..
Always fun to watch skilled actors w/ real training work on their feet & by the seat of their pants.
Alec Baldwin needs to get back to his Glengarry Glen Ross-style roots! That Alec Baldwin ruled.
“Coffee’s for closers, Liz!”
Do the people at NBC even care anymore about the success of their shows???? I’m all for the live episode; it brings in viewers and displays the real comedic talent of the cast, but why would you even try to challenge football? The NFL is absent from the primetime schedule from late February to late August, minus one day APRIL 26th 2012 the day of the NFL Draft. Why challenge a live event that could clearly be seen on the calendar for months? They could have easily scheduled it on the 19th or May 3rd. Way to waste your gimmick episode Greenblatt.
