EXCLUSIVE: Piranha helmer Alexandre Aja is negotiating to direct Undying Love, an adaptation of the Image Comics title for Warner Bros. The film revolves around an ex-solider who falls for a vampire, though in order to be with her, he must take on her creator, who is protected by an army of monsters in the Hong Kong underworld. The pic is being produced by Michael De Luca, Stephen L’Heureux and Benderspink. The comic was created by Tomm Coker and Daniel Freedman, who’ve written the script. WME-repped Aja also directed The Hills Have Eyes. He’s managed by Industry Entertainment.

Oh great! The director of Piranha 3D…and another vampire story.
Aja did a great job with High Tension, Hills Have Eyes, and Piranha, IMO. Mirrors sucked though. I still think this should be pretty cool with him attached.
This is going to be great!
De Luca is the only legit thing about this horrid package.
OMG I cant wait…. Undying Love is amazing! HUGE FAN
The vampire engine isn’t getting old, audiences just need fresh blood. I like the ex-soldier/action/romance angle on the destroy-the-head-vampire concept. It sounds like “Lost Boys,” but with a little more substance.
I have read this graphic novel more than once.. It is so good.. I think Undying Love would be better as a TV series than a feature film.. Go out & read this book!!
God save the writers on this.
