Alyssa Milano has been tapped as the last of the four leads in ABC’s drama series Mistresses. The soap, written by KJ Steinberg, is based on the British format. It centers on four women, April (Rochelle Aytes), Josslyn (Jes Macallan), Katie (Yunjin Kim) and Josslyn’s older sister Sarah (Milano), chronicling their sometimes scandalous romantic lives. Sarah is a classy and elegant married lawyer at a top Los Angeles law firm. Charmed and Melrose Place alumna Milano, recently seen in Garry Marshall’s romantic comedy New Year’s Eve, will next reprise her guest starring role on the Fox comedy Breaking In as the ex-wife of Oz (Christian Slater). She is with CAA and Alchemy Entertainment.
Amanda Walsh (Sons & Daughters) has joined Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot Rebounding, written by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, exec produced by Steve Levitan and directed by Jason Winer. It is an uplifting comedy about Danny (Will Forte), a man recovering from the death of his fiancé with the help of the idiots on his pickup basketball team. Walsh will play the girlfriend of one of Danny’s friends, Dave (Hayes MacArthur). Walsh, repped by ICM and 3 Arts, replaces Aly Michalka, who was originally cast in the role but departed after the table read when the charcter was reconceived.

Walsh is a funny lass and will add much to this clever, good-humored show. Congrats to all!
What I wouldn’t do…
i am sick and tired of shows and songs glamorizing the debasement of people and families. Mistresses??? Call it the destruction of loyalty. People need to be taught that family is the basis of all safety and successful living. Living a hedenistic life is empty and should be outgrown when we leave out early 20′s. Let go of the falseness of personal happiness via cheating and neglecting the people who you owe. Why does every religion have a book that teaches how to live…people need to be instructed and shown the way.
I hope you don’t have any kids because we don’t need more close-minded people like you. If you don’t like premise of the show do not watch it. It’s that simple.
about 2 years ago when this was put into mostion, Holly Marie Combs helped produced and starred in the pilot to this exact thing…
Mistresses is a fictional show not a teacher. You haven’t seen it yet but already you’re knocking it. Yes, people should be taught family values. By their families, not a tv show. Yes, every religion has a book that teaches how to live. But it’s not the place of a fictional tv show to teach the Bible. I do not approve of cheating. In fact my 1st marriage broke up years ago because my then husband got his girlfriend pregnant. Actually a lucky break for me it turned out. I now have a treasure of a man for a husband.
Holy marie combs who played piper on Charmed also starred in a remake of Mistresses But i think it wasnt picked up. Search it in youtube. Coincidence? I love charmed! I love them!
I’m just happy to hear that Alyssa Milano will be back on a TV series again. It’s as simple as that.
I watched the British version of this show and loved it. I hope the American one doesn’t mess it up as they have done with so many great British shows.
I am soo happy that Alyssa Milano is doing another series. Im still hooked on charmed & i know i will be hooked with this new series. She is the Bomb Diggity!!
looks interesting
