Everybody Loves Raymond alum Brad Garrett is set to star opposite Sarah Chalke and Elizabeth Perkins in Claudia Lonow’s ABC comedy pilot How to Live With Your Parents For The Rest Of Your Life. The multi-camera/hybrid comedy, from 20th TV and Imagine, centers on Polly (Chalke), a recently divorced single mom, who moves in with her eccentric mother Elaine (Perkins) and explosive, always in motion stepfather Max (Garrett). Max owns a nightclub and is, as Polly puts it, the world’s most resentful cancer survivor. This is Garrett’s second pilot since the end of Raymond, which earned him 3 Emmy Awards. The previous one, ‘Till Death, went to series, which ran on Fox for 4 seasons. He is with UTA and Management 360.

I don’t know which Brad Garrett you are talking about but the one I know is a very giving of his time and talents kinda guy. He was a kind human being and my teacher that I had the pleasure of spending five weeks learning about the art of Comedy from, this past year. He was really humble, funny and very inspiring. He had no ego whatsoever. Everyone’s entitled to their opinion I guess but you couldn’t be more wrong in mine. Congrats Brad!!!

Actually Mark Lonow is a pretty good guy. He was always fair and nice to the comedians. He has a great sense of humor. I was a regular at the Improv for 17 years. No complaints whatsoever with Mark. Or Budd.
The Munsters remake has lost its Hermann. Tragic.
I was thinking the same thing. But, all is not lost. ABC has more than a dozen sitcom pilots in the works, and only a few slots to fill. I can see at least half of these being more likely to go to series than this one.

Why do they keep trying to pass Sarah Chalke as a vivacious ingenue? I think she’s a fine comedic actress, but the lady is and looks 35. The actors playing her parents are barely fifteen years older.
Scrubs went on to long I think, and it seems she is limited with the characters she can play.
Oh, Brad! You’re hilarious but this is the project you choose? Can’t you figure out the good scripts from the mediocre?
and the saddest part is, they made him test for this!
I’ve dealt cards to Mr. Garrett a few times in Vegas & he’s always a pleasant & fun guy to deal to. I read one comment about his ego, well did you know he founded the Maximum Hope Foundation in 2000, seems like a pretty darn good ego to me. Good luck to you Mr. Garrett with your new series
