EXCLUSIVE: Comedy Central has picked up three new series, The Burn starring the network’s “Roastmaster General”, comedian Jeff Ross; Review with Forrest MacNeil starring Andrew Daly (Eastbound & Down); and Nathan For You starring Canadian writer-comedian, Nathan Fielder (Jon Benjamin Has A Van).
In The Burn, Ross will be joined by a group of fellow comics to skewer the week’s hot topics and head into the field to take aim at public figures and current events. Ross, who has appeared in the last nine Comedy Central Roasts, is executive producing The Burn with Mike Gibbons and Tagline TV’s Willie Mercer and Amy Zvi. Production is slated to begin this spring for a premiere in the summer, following an all-new Comedy Central Roast. “My mission is clear,” Ross said. “To rip the world a new asshole one crack at a time. I can’t wait to get started.
Review with Forrest MacNeil is a half-hour comedy written and executive produced by Charlie Siskel (Tosh.0) and Andrew Daly, directed by Jeff Blitz and starring Daly as the title character. Based on the Australian series Review With Myles Barlow created by and starring Phil Lloyd, the project is a send-up of traditional review shows but instead of films, food or art, Forrest MacNeil reviews difficult life experiences … by living them. He reviews whatever his TV audience throws at him: the adrenaline rush of stealing, the drama of divorce, the effects of murder, the wonder of anonymous sex. And he rates every adventure on a scale of zero to five stars. Forrest’s unwavering commitment to his work often comes at the expense of his wife, his children, his affable neighbor Gary and his co-workers. “This show will be a great service to society,” said Daly. “If you’re thinking about cheating on your spouse or murdering someone, please wait until we review it so you can avoid the pitfalls and enjoy the experience.”
Nathan for You is a half-hour docu-reality comedy starring Nathan Fielder who uses his business degree and life experiences to help real small businesses turn a profit and inspire viewers to be more successful themselves. From showing people how to overcome their fears, giving kids life lessons, and allowing inventors to promote their unique products, Nathan’s mandate is to advise, inspire, and teach. Unfortunately, he just sucks at it. “Picking up my show is a great move for Comedy Central,” said Fielder, who executive produces the series with Michael Koman and Dave Kneebone. “I wouldn’t be surprised if we see a major uptick in Viacom stock today.”

I like ross, but just bring back Tough Crowd already.
That would be fine, just don’t bring Colin Quinn back with it.
No new animated series? Then i’m not interested in any of these shows.
Review sounds good, and the others… Uh. Yeah.
@anonymous – I don’t like Ross, but agree about Tough Crowd. Anyway, congrats Andy Daly! I’ll be tuning in for sure.
G-G-G-GARBAGE!!!!!!!!!
I don’t know why but this made me laugh. More please
Hurray for Andy Daly! Excellent news!
All for it if any of these replace the boring KEY AND PEELE… Someday soon. And btw, I’ve had it w/ Tosh’s lame ‘Dirty American Home Videos’ dreck as well. LCD.
I could not be more excited about this line up. Three competent comics. I hope they all stick around.
why no scripted comedies? i’m so tired of watching unscripted banter from male comics. SNORE
Um. I read the description of Review with Andy Daly and it sounds totally scripted. It’s a fake review program.
Awesome for Andy Daly! Great on Eastbound and woefully underused on Madtv! More importantly, one of the nicest people around.
Andy Daly being hilarious is as sure of a bet as Jeff Ross insulting people
Andy Daly was amazing in Puddin’.

I guess the checks from Dancing with the Stars and Celebrity Ghost Stories have run out for Ross
So nothing new then?
glad to see the massive support of female comedians continues.
Why not steal “The Green Room” from Showtime. Giving Jeff Ross his own show will reduce his time on Twitter.
Why not rename “Review With Forrest McNeil”? The Daly Show sounds so much better.
Congrats Gary, Monika and Jack!
Congrats Monika and Jack!
Charlie Siskel – grabbing onto yet another talented comic’s coat tails. One of cable’s most adroit yes men. Daly’s great though, shouldn’t have any problem carrying him.
Definitely scripted. Super obvious. Also an excellent improvisational comedian unlike the other two, should be pretty awesome.
