Newcomer Elizabeth Henstridge has become the first cast member in the CW’s Mark Schwahn/J.J. Abrams drama pilot Shelter. Produced by Warner Bros TV, Shelter is set at a historic New England summer resort where the new and returning staff attend to the practical, emotional and often comical needs of the guests while navigating friendships, rivalries and romances of their own. British actress Henstridge, repped by Flutie Entertainment and the UK’s Lois Harvey, will play Grace, an overachiever and newly promoted hotel manager at the Shelter Bay, where the show is set.

Merle Dandridge and Teri Reeves have been added to the cast of NBC’s drama pilot Chicago Fire starring Jesse Spencer. On Wolf Films and Universal TV’s action-driven drama about the complex and heroic men and women of the Chicago Fire Department, Dandridge will play the team’s humorless boss Kay Fitori. Reeves, repped by SDB Partners and New Wave, will play Spencer’s ex-wife. Dandridge, also repped by SDB, recently recurred on Sons Of Anarchy.
Swingtown alum Grant Show and Mariana Klaveno (True Blood) have joined the cast of the ABC pilot Devious Maids, a primetime soap from Desperate Housewives creator Marc Cherry. Based on the Mexican format, Devious Maids follows four maids (Ana Ortiz, Dania Ramirez, Roselyn Sanchez, Judy Reyes) with ambition and dreams of their own while they work for the rich and famous in Beverly Hills. Show, repped by UTA and One Entertainment, will play Spence Davis, a successful daytime star married to a gorgeous, self-centered actress (Klaveno).

Well, CW…I can safely say you excited NOBODY with that casting move. Try again. We’re expecting WAY more on a project from JJ and Schwahn…like some mystery, as well.
See, the Craig Horner signing for Joey Dakota is the type of splashy move needed for all of the CW pilots. Stars of interest are out there; it’s your job to nab them.
I am excited and hope there is older females portrayed in this script . Not sure of how of how this star was [picked , but she has something right or would not have landed this part.
Good to see Grant Show back in primetime. The man has only gotten more handsome with age and become a much better actor. Saw him recently in an indie teen racing movie and was floored by how funny and genuine he was. I think the movie was called Born 2 Race or something. I’m looking forward to more of Mr. Show!
GRANT IS SO HOT AND DESERVES IT ALL!!!!! GOOD GOING FOR PRIMETIME.
What happened to my favorite show Haven on the SYFY channel ?
The cast was great, lead actress very pretty and wonderful
scenery.
Honestly, I am someone who likes to see new faces on TV. It allows me to watch the characters on a show as what they are and not seeing an actor playing a part. I guess you can call me different but Good Luck and Congrats to all who is cast and will be cast. I will be watching!!
