EXCLUSIVE: Deran Sarafian (House) has signed with WME. Additionally, the director-producer has signed on to serve as executive producer/series director on Hemlock Grove, the 13-episode thriller/horror series executive produced and directed by Eli Roth. Hemlock Grove, written/executive produced by Brian McGreevy and Lee Shipman based on McGreevy’s upcoming gothic horror novel, re-imagines everything it means to be a monster as reflected in the struggle to be human. Mark Verheiden has been tapped as a writing showrunner on the series, produced by Gaumont International Television.
Sarafian, who was at CAA, serves as an executive producer of TNT’s Western drama pilot Tin Star, which is in contention at the cable network. Additionally, he has four-hour sci-fi action thriller One Mile Straight Down in development at SyFy. Sarafian developed the project, written by Skip Woods (X-Men Origins: Wolverine), through his company BrokenToy and is set to executive produce and direct. Sarafian continues to be managed by Rain Management.

…And his Dad directed VANISHING POINT!
Congrats, Deran.

Talk about redundant!

To bad he wont last the season
Congratulations Deran. I hope to be seeing alot of you.
Love, Wendy
Deran’s House episodes were far and away the best. As a director he took a medical procedural and turned it into something smart, funny, and emotional . When Deran left House…the house fell through the floor.
Can’t wait to see what he does with a Netflix series that has no censors!!!
Deran is although works much is still one of tinsel towns greatest undiscovered talents.
Just look at What he did with Terminal Velocity.
He directed that with, humor, style. And grace.
If there are three directors I’d like to work with… he’d be two of them!
