Twentieth Century Fox has pulled posters and trailers for its July release Neighborhood Watch from Florida communities. The materials were part of a long-planned early marketing campaign, Fox noted in a statement. They were not withdrawn because of sensitivity over the shooting death of Florida teen Trayvon Martin by a member of Sanford, Fla, neighborhood watch, the Fox statement said. “We are very sensitive to the Trayvon Martin case, but our film is a broad alien invasion comedy and bears absolutely no relation to the tragic events in Florida,” the statement says. “The movie, which is not scheduled for release for several months, was made and these initial marketing materials were released before this incident ever came to light. The teaser materials were part of an early phase of our marketing and were never planned for long term use. Above all else, our thoughts go out to the families touched by this terrible event.”
Ben Stiller, Vince Vaughn, Jonah Hill, and Richard Ayoade star in the film, written by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg and directed by Akiva Schaffer. It’s about suburban men who form a neighborhood watch group and in the process discover an alien plot to destroy the earth.

As a fellow PR flack, this was one of the most well written statements about ANYTHING I’ve read in some time. Kudos to the person who produced that statement. They deserve a raise.
I can’t believe Zimmerman is a free man, walking around enjoying his life. I feel that if it were a Black male who shot a White male or Hispanic male things would be competely different turn of events. Zimmerman has issues stemming frm jobs he’s held in the past. To deny ur own heritage is denying one’s self. He lost control of his actions long before Trayvon. He needs to be held accountable and the Martin family needs justice! We all need each other in this world. Wake up America and realize it.
