• Yeah. Kathy Bates is mad because nobody between the ages 18 & 49 watches ‘Harry’s Law’. So now she’s getting a role on a CBS show that has a strong viewership in the 18-49 demographic.

  I’m going to be honest, season 2 of ‘Harry’s Law’ is a trainwreck compared to the show’s first season. NBC knows how to kill their shows if nothing else. WHEN ‘Harry’s Law’ is canceled, I won’t be crying over it. Good luck Kathy.

• Stupid as hell and i love Kathy Bates, only thing interesting in this pathetic Chuck Lorre move is what Charlie Sheen will tell about that to the press : he loves Kathy..(she worked with his father on maybe Emilio Estevez best movie and got critical praise for it)..

• nothing against bates but how low can it go? the show is a little better after they stopped talking about charlie so much the first half of the season but it still stinks. this just sounds awful on so many levels.

• Sounds like Kathy Bates is taking one for the Warner Brothers Television team and clearly doing a favor to Peter Roth. She was great on THE OFFICE. I do hope she is earning big bucks for this one. Whatever the truth is, she’s a class act for agreeing to do this.

• I couldn’t disagree more with Ann (above). I thought season 1 of HARRY’S LAW was good enough and frankly would have fallen flat on its face if any actress ala Kathy Bates wasn’t in the lead. This current season is SO much better. They are somehow getting really great guest actors and the writing has been elevated. Let’s see if the shift to Sunday’s work….

• So wish she’d play Eric Stonestreet’s mom, aunt, sister, relative or something on Modern Family. Now that would be a great use of her comedic talents. I love Kathy. Just watched her in The Blindside over the weekend. She always brings it – no matter how big or how small the role.

• Kathy is doing this for Ashton because she’s fond of him and enjoyed working with him on a film a few years ago. She also just likes to work…she’s not been particularly choosy about her roles lately. She’ll be funny and a good sport; which is what she is and she knows that no one else really gives a shit about it so why not enjoy herself and the people she likes to work with.

  • Yeah. If they need to keep doing stories about Charlie, and are unable to do a clean break, give it up.

    I stopped watching, but I see ads for the show while watching The Mentalist. They seem to have done several stories about the Charlie character now.

• Chuck, just pick up a camera, get Cryer, Sheen and yourself onto the hospital room set, film the scene, keep it a super secret (although getting Sheen to keep a secret is ridiculous), and blast the ratings of your show. Nah, never happen.
