Isn’t she supposed to be in jail instead of at 30 Rock?

She’s gone the way of the Kardashians – famous for being famous and can’t act. What a shame.
I didn’t think it was lame at all!! Actually very well done! I thought it was a tasteful and fitting way to open the show.
Lindsay Lohan was terrific on SNL, last night. So glad to see she is
finally maturing. She also took digs about her rehab and necklace shop lifting like a true sport.
short, sweet and funny. not a big fan of hers but…
I secretly wanted LiLo to succeed, but what a lame and pitiable mess SNL was.
The more people I meet, the better I like my dog.
Can they now stop calling her “talented actress”? She is not even an actress. That whole thing was awkward and uncomfortable to watch. She wasn’t good actress to begin with. But now that her face is frozen and can’t move… That SNL cast had to play around her. She was in background and they “acted” around her. Not because they are mean and didn’t want to give her main roles. But because Lohan can’t deliver. Can you imagine her playing Kristen Wiig’s part in that Phone sketch? Or playing aggressive part in that Jail sketch? No. She could only stand and awkwardly read cue cards.
She can forget about her non come back. Because her face can’t move. She can’t act in movies or even TV shows. And she really should stop laugh at her drunk past. She shouldn’t have done it at SNL. She should have ignore it and play different roles. That were not related to jail and court. How can we forget about it and take her seriously when she reminds us about it in every interview and even at SNL?
“She should have ignore it and play different roles.” Yea, that’s great advice. Except that it’s been well publicized for years now that she can’t get any role or gets dropped from any of the ones she gets. Hence, she is doing to stuff like SNL to jump start her career so she does start getting roles.
If I was an actor, I would hire you as my manager or publicist if I wanted to be working as a full time waiter within months. But I hear this is big money in being a message board advice-giver, good luck!
Wait. Confused. This site is featuring something from snl that it DIDN’T like?
It this a first?
What a hater way to begin a thread. It was a perfectly funny monologue. Brave, even.
It seems hypocritical to criticize Lindsay but use her clips to drive traffic to Deadline.
I thought she was great on the show. She’s a gifted comic actress.
*Ding* We have a winner. Good post, Burkiss. I feel the same way about the Chris Brown fake “outrage” to generate circulation and page hits (I’m talking to you, EW).
I thought LiLo was funny. Hate the blond extensions, though.
Hey, it’s her life, and what she does, hey, that’s her gig. I think she’s an idiot but who the hell am I?
But here’s what I just don’t get.
1, There are a gazillion really good actresses out there. Lindsey hasn’t acted in years and doesn’t even take it seriously
2. While there may be some morbid fascination with here and, well everyone has their fans … she has absolutely no fan base. Ppl have cut way back on going to movies as it is. There is no significant group that is going to see a Lindsey Lohan movie. Hell, I’d go see Twilight first.
My ultimate question is, and truly just from a business point of view. Who would hire her????? The upside isn’t worth the risk. Sure some ppl will go because she is LL. But droves will stay away and maybe, JUST maybe, you make your money back.
I just don’t get it.
What a waste have Lindsay host, she is given more chances than anyone and constantly let’s us down. She was given the opportunity to show everyone that she is talented and ready to be the wonderful actress that she was when she was young, but she spent her time reading off cue cards, my 3 year old niece could have done a better job ! And it makes me sad that Lifetime and the producers of the Elizabeth Taylor/Richard Burton project have entrusted her with such a rich role, needless to say she will flop !! how sad !
don’t hate the player hate the game
LINDSAY DID A GREAT JOB, SHES BACK…..
Not to derail your point or anything, but has there ever been an SNL monologue that WASN’T lame? Seems like Lindsay just gets picked on for everything. Next thing you know she’ll be making everyone have a bad time at the DMV.
She looked pretty useless and lost during the “Scared Straight” skit.
The monologue was pretty bad. So why post it here?
I always want SNL to be funny. This week it wasn’t. Lindsey couldnt remember or read her lines very well. Look at how much better John Hamm did on the same show.
that was kinda cute. at least they didnt have her break into song.
You can’t even give her the benefit of the doubt on this one. She was flat and lifeless in every sketch. And yes, they worked around her, not with her.
I thought she was ok. Some funy moments on SNL.
why ya’ll being haters? it was a fine monologue a great first step in re building her image.
Actually thought the monologue was good, one of the better ones this season. The writing throughout the show was pretty bad though, didn’t give Lindsay much to do at all.
Poor LL. No need to worry about her future. There’s always Syfy original films.
I am actually surprised she is still alive.
That being said, the opening monologue wasn’t THAT bad. Was it funny? Not terribly. But it wasn’t awful either.
If she FINALLY gets her act together, she is young enough to still have a stellar career. However, she does seem to slip back into partying VERY quickly after claiming she has learned from her mistakes.
I wish this site would give a TRUE review of her SNL debacle… It was the worst thing I’ve seen on TV since Nixon.
Stop hating on the girl! She’s trying to come back this time for real. Give her a chance. People can change. Even after many trials. I liked her on SNL. She should try to get a role on some pilot. Before going back to movies she should try doing TV show.
