TUESDAY UPDATE: WME’s Adam Isaacs, Dave Wirtschafter, and Brandt Joel signed Noomi Rapace who stars in Prometheus on June 8th. Now the actress should leave her management Magnolia Entertainment.
MARCH 13TH EXCLUSIVE: The original Girl With the Dragon Tattoo Noomi Rapace has left UTA, according to rival agencies. When UTA freshly signed her after starring in the Swedish movie trilogy based on the Stieg Larsson crime novels, she immediately drew interest from all corners — directors, producers and studio production execs. Her reps compared her to Marion Cotillard, who appeared in a small foreign film, came out of nowhere to be nominated and then win the Best Actress Academy Award, then landed big roles in major studio tentpoles. She has done just that: she was quickly cast in Sherlock Holmes: A Game Of Shadows and then landed a prime roled in Ridley Scott’s Prometheus, the 3D sci-fi pic that is due out June 8. She is also attached to Brian De Palma’s remake of Alain Corneau’s 2010 thriller Crime D’Amour with Rachel McAdams; the action thriller Dead Man Down opposite Colin Farrell, being directed by her Dragon Tattoo helmer Niels Arden Oplev; and the graphic novel-based on The Last Days Of American Crime.

Where is she going to go? Is she sticking with her managers?
Noomi is staggeringly talented and completely genuine, not to mention smart as hell and tough as iron. Wherever she lands, they’ll be lucky to have her.
Aloni should sign her.
Aloni? He wouldn’t know what to do with her. If anyone at WME should sign her, it’s Scherz.
Otherwise, she should go to Manashil or Queally at CAA.
WME. Staying with her managers.
Shes better off at UTA. She is not ready for one of the A list agencies. Shell fall through the cracks there.
She should have played Black Widow in Avengers. Would have been some fun.
Glad to have her on board…
UTA did a pretty amazing job for her after signing her. Just shows what relentlessl poaching can do.
UTA has Johnny Depp and NO other A list talent. The new Innovative Artists. Maybe Zimmer should think twice about the new property they are moving to.
