Rescue Me alumna Andrea Roth and JD Pardo (The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn Part 2) have been cast in NBC’s JJ Abrams/Eric Kripke drama pilot Revolution, directed by Jon Favreau. The high-octane action drama follows a group of people struggling to survive and reunite with loved ones in a world where all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist. Roth, repped by Domain and Levine/Okwu/Erickson, will play Rachel, the mother of two of the leads. Prado, repped by Innovative Artists and One Talent Management, will play Nate, an expert archer.
Erin Cummings, who has played Spartacus’ enslaved wife on Starz’s Spartacus: Blood and Sand, has joined the cast of CBS’ drama pilot Baby Big Shot. The project, from writer Dana Calvo, showrunner Kevin Falls, Sony TV and Jamie Tarses’ Fanfare, is a legal drama centered on Martina (Janet Montgomery), a working-class woman who uses her street smarts to compete with her more polished colleagues at a top New York law firm. Cummings will play Martina’s sexually heightened older sister. The actress, repped by Untitled Entertainment, was recently seen in the film Bitch Slap, which premiered at the Toronto Film Festival, and in a recurring role on ABC’s Pan Am. She just wrapped the feature Iceman.
Chloe Bridges has been added to the CW pilot Carrie Diaries. The project, based on Candace Bushnell’s novel, chronicles Carrie Bradshaw’s (AnnaSophia Robb) coming of age in the 1980s when she asks her first questions about love, sex, friendship and family while exploring the worlds of high school and Manhattan. Bridges, repped by APA and Industry, will play Carrie’s nemesis Donna Ladonna, the popular girl who is confident and savvy with more there than meets the eye

I’ll trade you two Chloe Bridges for one JD Pardo. Cw needs to step up its game in the hot guy casting department. All I keep reading about is girls nobody knows. And last time I checked, girls prefer to watch cute guys rather than other girls.
Can someone please alter that logline to change / eliminate “all forms of energy have mysteriously ceased to exist?” Anyone with any education in science will immediately recognize how stupid, and impossible, that is. (Sunlight is a form of energy. Sound is a form of energy. Heat is a form of energy.) It’s almost as dumb as that pitch that sold last year where the earth stops spinning so it loses its gravity. *Face palm.*
Thank you.
Yeah, every time I read that, I think, “that’s gonna be one very short series.” Three nanoseconds for all the characters to disintegrate at the subatomic level, The End.
Here’s an older description of the show that’s not so unintentionally comic:
“In this epic adventure thriller, a family struggles to reunite in a post-apocalyptic American landscape: a world of empty cities, local militias and heroic freedom fighters, where every single piece of technology — computers, planes, cars, phones, even lights — has mysteriously blacked out … forever.”
Erin Cummings has a body that should only be on premium cable. Her ‘talents’ are wasted on network TV.
Wow looked me up Chloe Bridges. It’s like a young Angelina Jolie. Feels like this is the next hot group of woman ala Gossip Girls leighten and Blake. Someone get that girl a lipstick campaign!
