Saturday Night Live alum Will Forte is set as the lead in Fox’s single-camera comedy pilot Rebounding. The project, written/executive produced by Joe Port and Joe Wiseman, executive produced by Steve Levitan and directed by Jason Winer, is an uplifting comedy about Danny (Forte), a man recovering from the death of his fiancé with the help of the idiots on his pickup basketball team. Forte, repped by UTA and Mosaic, is now seen in Tim And Eric’s Billion Dollar Movie and has three movies coming out this summer: Rock Of Ages, That’s My Boy and Neighborhood Watch. He recurs on 30 Rock and Up All Night.

easily on of the most talented cast of SNL over the last 10 years, forte was always destined to be the lead of his own tv show. He is a tv star not a feature star. Congrats to him.
Nobody likes this guy. MacGruber was an epic bomb and he’s just not engaging in anyway. More mediocrity. Blah.

MacGruber is hilarious. That is all.
So the basic premise is he’s a guy recovering (Rebounding) from the death of his fiance. Great. Now what do you do for Season 2? By Season 4, every woman he meets will dump him because he hasn’t moved on.
Have seen MacGruber at least 50 times, psyched for this show now.
forte is one of the nicest guys in the biz, and funniest. as a former tv writer himself before his SNL days, I hope he’ll have some involvement in the writers room as well.
Have had a seriously dirty crush on Forte for a few years. I took to my bed for some time when he left SNL. Can’t wait for this show and hope it is successful.
