NEW YORK (March 19, 2012) — On the heels of releasing the award-winning and commercial hit, Midnight in Paris, Sony Pictures Classics announced that on June 22 it will release Woody Allen’s latest film, the newly titled TO ROME WITH LOVE.
TO ROME WITH LOVE was a name selected as an homage to the eternal city of Rome where the film was shot on location last summer. This will be used for its worldwide release. The film’s former title, Nero Fiddled, while an appropriate and humorous phrase in the U.S., is not a familiar expression overseas and many international territories preferred a more globally understood name.
Written and directed by Woody Allen, TO ROME WITH LOVE is a story about a number of people in Italy — some American, some Italian, some residents, some visitors — and the romances and adventures and predicaments they get into. The film stars Allen, Alec Baldwin, Roberto Benigni, Penélope Cruz, Judy Davis, Jesse Eisenberg, Greta Gerwig and Ellen Page. TO ROME WITH LOVE is a Gravier Productions film produced by Letty Aronson and Stephen Tenenbaum, and financed by the Italian production and distribution company, Medusa Film.

Good title. Wasn’t that a half-hour comedy starring John Forsythe and Kay Medford?
Love this guy’s work ethic. Hope I still have his zeal at that age.
i like the title but this is the third one… i guess with his higher boxoffice they are being more anal about everything
bop decameron

to rome with love
Woody’s last two hits–Vicky Cristina Barcelona and Midnight in Paris–have both had the city they were set in in the title.
This is great news! I look forward to a trailer (hopefully soon). Midnight in Paris was not half bad. I almost hoped that the movie would continue with just shots of Paris for the whole time like it seemed it would in the beginning.
