ABC has picked up The Glass House, a competition reality series in the vein of Big Brother. It is set to premiere June 18 and is executive produced by former Big Brother producer Kenny Rosen. Described as an interactive real-life and real-time reality competition, Glass House features 14 contestants living and competing for a quarter million dollars in a wired, state-of-the-art house, playing against each other as well as for the viewers’ online votes that will help determine which contestants are sent home and also which eliminated players will earn the chance to return.
Also like Big Brother, Glass House will have an online component as several times a week viewers can watch a live online feed of the players. In this case, the audience can vote and decide everything from what players wear and eat to the games they play, even where they sleep. Viewers will also have the chance to give their favorite contestants feedback on their game from outside the house.

No lawsuit???? Anyways why can’t they revive battle of the network stars or the syndicated star games.
Thanks for the warning Nellie. At least now I know what I WON’T be watching beginning in June.
Where’s that asteroid?
So it’s like Big Brother, only not live, with fewer episodes, and with contestants competing for less money. Since when did ABC spell DOA?
Lets see.. they already have the awful Batchelor Pad which was a sort-of rip-off of Big Brother, and NOW THIS?
I wonder what Endemol, and Allison and Rich of Fly On the Wall Productions thinks of this? Probably not much….
creepy……
Why don’t they just call it BIG BROTHER FOR ABC. Please greenlit original concepts, networks!!!! I have dozens of TV show concepts that have placed in contests that are better!!! Contact me.
And the networks are now wondering why people aren’t watching TV anymore, especially with all this reality crap going on right now to fill their timeslots. Thanks CBS for introducing Survivor back in 2000 for bringing this to a head. Another legal whore house concept but on a different and struggling network. I thought NBC was bad.
Yes, Jed – Reality is so very inferior to high quality scripted fare. Like Man Up or Charlie’s Angels or Work It or Terra Nova or Allen Gregory or How To Be A gentleman or The Playboy Club.
CBS big brother same freaking personalities, same old types of blacks, same of old types of gays, etc. Boring editing style there do for the tv shows.
