I’ve learned that production on ABC’s comedy pilot Counter Culture has been stopped because of an injury suffered by one of its stars, Delta Burke, who had a fall on the set yesterday. The multi-camera pilot had been doing pre-shoots, with the main taping in front of a live audience scheduled for tomorrow. Word is Burke will be sidelined for at least a week, but producers are still hoping to finish the pilot in time for fall consideration. Written and executive produced by Stephnie Weir and executive produced by Claudia Lonow, Counter Culture revolves around three sisters — Billie (Kerri Kenney), Nonie (Burke) and Joyce (Margo Martindale) — running their family diner together in West Texas who find that sibling dynamics are always getting in the way of getting the job done. The pilot, produced by Sony Pictures TV, co-stars Doris Roberts as the sisters’ aunt.

Get better Delta. We need you back on tv.
Yikes, lay off the plastic surgery.
You said it. Sheesh.
“Yikes” is right.
I love the premiss and the stars of this pilot. I hope ABC picks it up to series.
she’s amazing. super talented. anyone remember her from First and Ten? that being said, i hope she didn’t break a leg — c’mon, you were all thinking it!
So glad to see Delta back on TV, have missed her wit and charm.
I hope she’s okay. This show actually sounded promising!!!
Get better Delta – look forward to watching your new series and back on the air – we’ve missed you!
Sorry to hear about the accident………get well soon. Your fans have missed you Delta, but please…..no more surgeries. You don’t need it. You are beginning to look like all the other over 50 stars in Hollywood. Looking forward to your new series.
Delta belongs back on TV. This is an unfortunate incident, but it shouldn’t keep her off the airwaves for long!
Would really love to see this show! Hope it’s on my fall line up!
I would love to see the show too. I’m a fan of Doris Roberts as well. Wouldn’t want to be related to any of her characters though. ha ha. Did you see she’s in a new movie Madea’s Witness Protection. That lady never stops working. Gotta love it.
Welcome back Delta! I am so glad to see you back on TV..
